I took every class that Dr. Dave Bower offered at LHU. I graduated in 2012 and just met up with him today. He is a great guy, great professor and his lectures meant alot if you payed attention. I would gladly re take any class he taught. My advice is take his courses before he leaves LHU... Amazing stuff.

Dr. Bower is a wonderful gentleman. He is very passionate about the subject and will do his best to bring his passion to you. if you read the book and powerpoints you are guaranteed an A in the exams. He has had many life experiences in which he elaborates in class, very smart man and excellent role model !

I took this class merely to fulfill a gen ed requirement, but it turned out to be my favorite this semester. Dr. Bower is a kind, humorous, down-to-earth guy. He personally relates to topics, making lectures interesting. I looked forward to this class each day.

Comment:

The only asset to the Crim J major at LHU besides the late Dr. Fennell. I could count on one hand how many times he was late or skipped, then use the other to count the times that he wasn't courteous and helpful. You'll want a book for the tests. Even though the content isn't really applicable in everyday policing, he makes it work going to class.

Nice Guy. Tests are straight off the practice quizzes online; however, he never had the wrong answers you got posted, so w/e you got wrong on the quizzes youll get wrong on the test .wouldn't be bad if you skipped class, but he takes attendance-could help you in the end if you are borderline on a grade. Get a book he lets u use them on the tests

Doc Bower is a really sweet guy. I love how he talks about his wife and he seems to love his job. He's really funny and if you go to him with any concerns he's willing to help. Tests are hard but not impossible. Study hard and come to class and you'll do fine. He's a wonderful man and a great professor and some of the stuff he says is so adorable.

Great friendly professor. I learned a lot in the class. Attendance mandatory, don't have to use the book. Just refer to PowerPoint slides. Could use book on tests for 15 minutes. Highly recommend!

Dave Bower is a one of a kind professor. I've never known another to be so kind and caring. He actually took our class out to breakfast one morning. Show up to class and do the assigned work. Otherwise, don't waste his time. He's really great though!

Dr Bower is fun. His lectures oftentimes go off subject but he has a good heart and is a good guy. You probably dont need to go to class that much - but READ. If you do go to class, he focuses on the type of questions on the test. Sometimes some of the questions come out of nowhere. He's pretty cool.

I had Dr. Bower for both Death and Drug Ed. and I personally thought he was the best professor I have ever had. Classes are about LIFE and not some boring subject. Good Stuff!
