what a waste of my life. dyer is awful - if i wanted an economics class i would have signed up for one, but this was a marketing class. just look over powerpoints and heckle him enough to give extra credit and he will. attendance mandatory which is the absolute worst part. if you can deal w/that bs, be my guest. would not recommend. EVER.

As others have said this professor will preach about economics until he is blue in the face. Class is very boring - but he is a pretty nice guy as long as you can stay awake. Reads directly from powerpoints and tests are very easy as long as you glance over the info.

I had him for loding and cost control at the same time back to back classes. Talks about the same thing in both classes, economics. Everything eventually related back to economics. Just reads straight off powerpoint slides and class is easy A as long as you do the homework study, barely.

Had him in highschool for Economics, which is what he basically has decided is more important than Lodging Op. and taught again. Still came out learning nothing about economics. He reads right off of Powerpoints and if you study those, an easy A is possible. 3 Exams (including final) 2 projects that aren't too hard, just papers.

So his class is really boring most the time, occassionally gets talking about alcohol or pocketing cash transactions (real-world things), but attendance is NOT mandatory. You need book to do homework problems (helped me learn how to do excel) and study the notes he gives you for the test it's an easy A.

Never take a class from this professor. He cares more about listening to himself talk more than anything else. Dyer should never be allowed to teach humans.

This class was very boring, however, Professor Dyer is a very nice man and helped our class out lot with getting a good grade in his class. He does read off from his powerpoints which is VERY boring I think for future refrences he should just go over the problems in the book since they're on the test, instead of going over material that we can read

Dyer really isn't as bad as some say. He's not clear about what we wants & his tests can be hard but he offers SOO much extra credit if you don't get an A in this class your an idiot. Before each test he gives an assignment and if you do it he will add up to 10 PERCENT to your test grade. And he will then curve it by a few pts. Nice guy, easy A.

I hate economics! He is adorable for an older man.but the class is very boring..The tests were hard for me..even after a lot of studying..i did not do very well..he gives ton of extra credit opportunities..which is what helped me bump up from a low "C" to a high "B". I think he feels bad for us..so he gave us many opportunities to raise our grades.

He is a horrible professor. Probably one of the worst I've had at UCF. He is unfair, boring, and will constantly lecture about retirement accounts. Hello, the class is about lodging ops! Don't waste your time.

Very boring class, but was very easy. He just reads straight off of the powerpoint. Offers a lot of extra credit for each test (up to 15 points) and made the exam take-home becuase everyone in the class wanted him too. Only grades are 4 tests. Don't take alone or you will want to shoot yourself.

He reads right off the powerpoint and most every question is "which of the following except; is true; is false". He said he would try to adjust the tests, but didn't. Any paper returned will have the smell of smoke. It is sick. He does offer extra credit. He should make a better attendance policy because his students are not motivated.

He does't give a lot of extra credit. He gives you 1 Ex.C. assign. at the end of the semester. which is 5pts on to your total grade avg. His tests are nothing like the test reviews. Everyone does so bad on the tests he gives a 5-8pt curve for every test. Reads right from power points....BORING!
