He is terrible. Don't let these other reviews give you false hope. His accent is atrocious. He does not grade leniently. My classes avg was a 46 before I withdrew. Buddy in same class had his test lost by Hwang and it caused him to fail the course! He doesn't explain anything and actually gets annoyed if you ask questions in class.

God bless. He accent is hard to understand but not terrible. His explanations of the work at impossible to comprehend. Screws up grades bad, he mixed me up with another student and tried to give me an E. Tests are departmental and the other teachers teach, so the test is hard since you never learned the material

His accent isn't as bad as people claim, but it is tough to understand him. He grades fairly easy on tests and projects, which is the only reason half of my class passed. Honestly, he's the worst teacher I ever had at Bloom. I got A's in my other accounting classes, but a C with Hwang...should tell you something.

He isn't that bad of a teacher, but he doesn't really explain things. You really need to listen when he talks and make sure you read your chapters and do the homework. The tests aren't that bad. If you need help he will help you, even if it isn't the best help.

A better teacher than most people say. Hard to understand at times but that just makes you pay more attention. Grades very easily on tests and is actually funny at times and is usually in a good mood. Very willing to help. I have taken him twice and would take him again.

To start- His accent is NOT THAT BAD. Yes a couple times u struggle to understand but he will always repeat it. He's actually hilarious! Class wasn't that bad. You got to put in the effort to get a good grade but easier than quite a few profs in dept. He gives u alot of half credit which is nice. Im taking him again, idk why he gets such badratings

Warning: EXTREMELY HARD TO UNDERSTAND! (Chinese accent) Does not answer questions, only responds with "you read book." Can not properly explain concepts. Does not admit mistakes even when proven wrong. Will not adjust test scores even if he makes a mistake. Very poor explanations of wrong answers. STAY CLEAR OF THIS ONE!!! WASTED MONEY!

Very hard class [but it is not supposed to be easy]. I enjoyed Dr. Hwang. He was kind of weird at times, but he was enjoyable. I learned alot. He tried his hardest to make accounting enjoyable. I would take him again if it were available. He is better then a couple of other accounting professors here.

Try to avoid this one. He canot be understood. However unlike other foreign professors, he's rather funny. He doesn't know it though. Sometimes you feel bad for him, then you realize you are paying this man. It's just a shame.

You must attend class since some of the test material is from lecture notes and not the book. You must read the chapters too since test material is from the book that is not gone over in class.
