Some of his discussions would become a bit convoluted, but overall the course was very insightful and valuable.

Comment:
I'm frankly appalled at the misrepresentation of Palmer's teaching style and course structure. Palmer focuses on recognizing and applying social and power dynamics in organizations. His teaching draws on a range of classic and contemporary sources. His attention to papers is meticulous. He responds to thoughtful input. Top notch. Ignore the rants.

Bad. Why some students rate him high -- no other professor gives out more A+, A, A- -- than him - and it's just for showing up and agreeing with his 'thoughts'. Students have also said in the past that writing reports on his topics of research will get you an easy A. Where is the challenge. It's this course supposed to be GRADUATE level?

Excellent professor, one of the best professors at UC Davis graduate school of management, MBA. I'm not sure why he's received these low marks. He's definitely one of the best professors that I've had.

Not very good. Reuses tests, notes, hmwk. So if you want an easy class, that any of his courses. Does group/team projects -- so you don't have to work at all and you will still pass any of his classes. Doesn't incorporate any new case studies into course.

Does not bring enough real world information to class. Class/grading is subjective, not based on any readings/books/case studies.

Teaches CONCEPTS based on real research. To many business books on "leadership" are total bunk and Palmer seperates the bunk from fact based material. Considered a super star of the GSM and well liked. Not a cakewalk but wll worth the effort.

Comment:
Dr. Palmer's Indvid. and Group Dynamics classes only covers various psychological studies. The professor leaves it up to you to figure out how to implement them or even says that certain techniques he teaches may not be morally ethical to implement.
