Summer 08, and I really enjoyed the class. He seems unapproachable, but if you talk to him and ask legitimate questions, he IS a nice guy. He is very monotone, but if you take good notes and do the study guide, you WILL get a good grade. And don't sleep, it's disrespectful. This is a COLLEGE class, it's not all supposed to be easy.

Come on, everyone is being a bit too harsh. Sure the lectures might be boring, but that's because most of us dont enjoy history classes. But he really enjoys this subject and knows what he's talking about. I found the lectures really helpful for the tests.

okay, i'm a history major and I was excited to take this class until I get there and this teacher is sitting in front of me that does not know how to teach American History. He teaches from an economic perspective and doesn't get the culture or anything across. And he's always pouting, so annoying.

He isnt a bad teacher at all. Yes its kind of hard to understand his lectures and you will probably fall asleep once in a while but the over all class is easy. All you have to do is pay attention on the main points and do your study guide. You have 4 exams and half of the questions are straight from the study guide. What more can you ask for.

Aw, come on. Class not so bad. Sure his lectures are dull and true he never lets the class out early but all you have to do is read the book the night before the test and it's an easy A. Oh, and you do not have to take any notes during class either, just try to keep your eyes open and do not snore. Yes he's a bit dry, but essentially a nice man

Boring, can't understand what he is saying in class, lectures are useless, I tried to only study the studyguide but the studyguide is only half the test, you'll still fail. Pointless. Worst professor I have ever had in the last three years at different colleges. I think I have to drop the class because I am failing, & I'm pissed I wasted the time.

DON'T TAKE HIM!!! His lectures are awful, and hard to listen too. Study guides won't help because only a few questions are asked from it. Read the book for exams. He's monotone-ish. He's so bad that even one of my professors agreed...Mason pretty much gave up on being a passionate teacher!

Tests are easy just do the study guide last minute. Being in class is the hard part, I have never been in that class without napping for like 2 hours. The only thing I'll remember about him is that he takes forever to take a piss.

Would be an amazing teacher if rating was based on his ability to lull you to sleep with the sound of his voice. Rambles-sometimes for over an hour-about things that aren't on the test. Impossible to take notes on lectures when theyre full of irrelevant information. NEVER lets class out early. Don't take this class.
