I took News Editing with Bond and regretted every day I spent in class. It was the biggest waste of time. He barely knows how to use the software he is supposed to teach! Classroom discussions are dull. He also offers little more than what was taught in Intro to Journalism. Do yourself a favor... don't take his class. Bond is devoid of personality.

Ed Bond is well-meaning but all but obsolete in the journalism field. A small town copy-editor, he teaches nothing but antiquated techniques that have little to no relevance to the newly evolved world of online journalism. He's also inefficient with classroom time (and unbearably dull to boot.)

Why Bond is still on the faculty baffles me. But the journalism department is pretty weak and is willing to let just about anyone come in and teach, so... My God, this was an 8am class and the combination of that and Bond, the most uninteresting, rambly instructor I've ever come across, was pure hell.

He's a moron. I think we knew more about the subject matter than he did. Half of the students literally slept through the class. It was the most pointless class I've ever taken.

Made it a waste to do any class. Every class, one or two students assigned to a reading would talk. I read one assignment the entire semester...and I'm getting an A. A waste. A complete waste.

He's nice but a terrible teacher. Ambiguous about assignments and then wonders why the class doesnt do what he wanted. Doesn't give motivation to do readings...one paper was 50% of our grade.

The class is called History of U.S. Mass Media and all you do in the class is anaylze literature. I thought I would stop doing that in about ninth grade. No test, just papers. Boring, boring, boring! This man is fit to teach elementary students only.
