Very easy teacher.Funny nice guy. Unclear on what your suppose to do in class. I was confused most of the semester. I did not learn anything new. Class was easier then most of my high school classes.

he is unclear as to what is expected of you out of this class, it is an easy class though and i'd say the easiest english class i ever took. you do not need to buy the books he says you need to, and he takes attendance every single class. he is a nice guy though, and he let us out of class early a lot.

True, the syllabus is WAY unclear, but the guy is great. He always gives extra time. Alays tells you when things are due. Plus you write about 1 topic all semester...how easy is that. Plus...u DO NOT NEED HIS BOOKS! Buy them and you'll waste your $$$

Nice guy, bad teacher. Very unclear when assigning work, both about what he wants us to do and when the due date is. He mumbles a lot and the class often misses a lot of what he says...and he gets frustrated when we don't understand or we ask a lot of questions. He is one of the worst professors I've ever had. Plus very anal about formatting. EEK!

Probably one of the worse profs. I've ever had, syllabus is unclear, it is never clear what he wants the next class period, mumbles through lectures seems constantly nervous...but on the bright side he grades extremely easy, just turn in something and you get full credit

Kirkby is an ok guy, who seems to know what he's talking about. Only problem is he stumbles over his words and doesn't get the message out. There was one class where he tried to collect an assignment from us, but we didn't know he assigned it. He'll try to help you as much as possible, but sometimes you just can't understand the jolly fellow...

He is very upbeat and passionate about his work. The class is very easy. You are given essays the first day of class and dates of when they are due. I never went to class expect ont he due dates of paper and came out of the class with a B+. He also is helpful if you need it.

This class was easier than many of my high school english classes. Kirkby is a very jolly scottish man. A lot of people give him a hard time because he lets people walk all over him. Very easy grader! I haven't learned anything new in his class.
