Comment:

Personally I don't see what all the beef is people have with her. She is pretty unclear and a bit disorganized, but as long as you do the work and participate during class discussions you shouldn't have a problem. If all the whiners actually applied themselves instead of complaining, maybe they would have passed her class, LOL!

Comment:

Shes a good teacher. Alot of the time is spent outside of the classroom, and the only homework besides creating your portfolio and a slideshow presentation is reading chapters and answering questions. She is pretty straightforward, you just have to make sure to keep checking blackboard for assignments.

Professor Cueto from my experience isnt helpful to students or very nice when asking for help. She doesn't like to be questioned or if someone opposes her views. She does not like to answer students questions but prefers to just tell students they are wrong. I wouldnt suggest any education major to take Professor Cueto.

Comment:

The only positive part about this class was the experience at Vance Elementary. Dr. Cueto is ridiculous! Her lessons are dull, her assignments are ridiculous and she's super slow in grading everything. It's realy difficult to do well in this class soley because of her. Try to take the other EDTE teacher. If you have to take her, kiss her butt.

Puts everything online, which works until you aren't informed of the work and therefor receive a zero. Communication was lacking, but the course didn't get any easier. Spending time with the children at Vance was an amazing experience, but the rest of this class was a nightmare with none of my peers knowing any more than me on assignments.

after taking this class i changed my major. she made me not want to be a teacher anymore! she puts everything on blackboard which i thought would be good but she posted assignments and never told you they were on there so be prepared to check blackboard everyyy nightt for updates. overall hatedd this class

She's ok. Just dont get on her bad side or talk about Vance Village (she loves that school). Class attendance is mandatory and dont show up late. Other than that shes alright, seen worse!

If you take Cueto prepare for figureing out assignments on your own and have to guess whats on the midterm or how to do assignments. Never bring up your own point of view cause her way is the ONLY way. Very mean and has no sympothy for studnets that arent proactive. Uses Blackboard for everything. She makes me NOT want to be a teacher anymore.

i have wanted to be a teacher for longer than i can remember however because of this experience i changed majors. on the first day of class i was a few minutes late because i went to the wrong building, she made an example of me of how not to be late to class and since then has disliked me. worst teacher ever, really boring.

Do not take Cueto if you want to be an individual and share your own point of view. My presentation killed my grade because I put down Vance Village, which she thinks is the single best school ever created. I ended up with a B, even though I had an A headed into the presentation. My classmates thought it was great, but she hates being challenged.

Her Blackboard Vista is all over the place and difficult to navigate, but she knows her stuff and will help you if you ask. Don't expect to miss classes or slack off, she will not hesitate to fail you. Prof. Cueto has no tolerance for lazy whiners.

not a great teacher, but if you try hard you will get a good grade. she is intimidating and not helpful to students at all. make sure you don't disagree with her, go to class, and work hard on the portfolio and you will do fine. i thought i was heading for a C, and she gave me an A-, so she doesn't grade as hard as you think she will.

I hate this class, shes a horrible teacher and all she does is make everyone feel stupid. She thinks she knows everything about being a good teacher and she really doesn't. She doesn't listen to the students, and if she does listen to you, you are always wrong. If you speak during class all she does is rip whatever you say apart.

Barely any homework other than reading a couple of chapters in the textbook.A few short quizzes on the readings.Half of the class is spent in the classroom and the other half is spent at Vance Village Elementary. Electronic Portfolio due at the end of the semester Moderate work load, but if you hand everything in on time you will do well.

HORRIBLE! Made me change my major! I used to love teaching & have been in the field for a few yrs now. She calls you out during presentations & tares you apart, very embarassing! If you agree with her you're fine but don't express your own views

As long as you agree with everything she says, you will not have a problem. Participate a lot in class and you will get a good grade. Final portfolio is a electronic one-its not as bad as it seems. Just use the examples she shows as a good reference.
