He get carried around with the lecture. he doesnt allow you to have any questions during lecture and if you do he'll be rude about it. Ive heard he is caring but didnt experience it. He is test heavy.

Wolf honestly sucked. He wasnt helpful and even during a pandemic he gave barely any cushion room for students who were struggling. If you take this class do ALLLL of the extra credit but don't expect an A. Also, he got off topic a lot and his lectures were way too long. The TAs are MUCH more helpful.

Wolf is great! His lectures are a bit too in depth BUT he does a good job of explaining what u do need to know. He is so kind, gives PLENTY OF EXTRA CREDIT! Idk why so many people are complaining. This class is hard with any professor. Wolf gave us so many opportunities to get a good grade and srsly SO MUCH EC! Do it! All of it! Take him!

His lectures were really hard to understand and mundane. He over-complicated fairly easy topics. I think he would be a great upper division professor because he is knowledgeable and truly passionate about chemistry. Just incredibly hard to follow for an introductory class. I learned everything from Chad's Reviews and the extra credit modules.

Dr. Wolf was a really nice guy. His teaching style just didn't work for me. He went off topic a lot in lectures which was hard to follow at times. Exam questions were based on his practice problems and lecture notes. Do all of his extra credit and go to discussion sessions. Not an easy A at all- I studied 19 hours for the cumulative final.

Dr. Wolf was a great CHM 116 professor. The lectures are long and there is a lot of difficult material but he's clear about what he will test us on. The practice problems provided are also very helpful. The tests were very similar to the practice problems. A lot of opportunity for extra credit is provided so take advantage of it!

I didn't really understand his lectures, he often goes off on a tangent when speaking. I learned all the material from Chads Reviews which I highly recommend if you take this class. He definitely makes you work for your grade and doesn't really curve tests. He makes you go to class because of clicker questions but also has a lot of demos.

He likes to explain why certain topics are useful in real life. The lectures are pretty repetitive because he explains the same things several times in several ways. Lectures can get really long and boring but overall he's a good professor.

I only came to class because of clicker questions, and he's a good guy but he goes too in-depth in lectures so I cannot follow. I was able to do well on this course because I took AP chem in high school so most everything was just review.

Only showed up to class because he uses clickers. Lectures are just reading his powerpoints that he uploads to Canvas. Gives extra credit for participating in class and doing extra homework assignments. Tests are fair, takes questions from practice exams. May not NEED textbook but homework sometimes refers to tables, but you can find online.

Dr. Wolf is such an amazing teacher!! He is NOT out to get u. Even if chemistry isn't your subject, if you keep up with the class you can manage to understand a good amount of concepts for the tests! If you have trouble during long lectures try to sit in the first couple rows and type notes on your laptop so your busy doing that instead of zoning:)

Here is my analogy for Dr Wolf. Imagine someone is teaching their kid to drive for the first time but instead of taking them to an empty parking lot, they take them to a highway in the middle of LA. That is Dr. Wolfs class. He goes on tangents constantly that no one in the class understands. This man literally over complicates everything!!

If you're going to take Wolf, do yourself a favor and bring earbuds to class. He's very passionate and knowledgeable over the subject matter but his lectures are mundane and often default to tangents. Lowest exam is dropped and while attendance is not mandatory, he often posts online in-class questions which count towards your overall grade.

Dr. Wolf is a very nice person. He cares about all of his students. Sometimes he does give out busy work. During his lectures, he often goes on tangents. They are quite interesting but it can be confusing what you need to learn for the test. Overall, I would take again.

Dr. Wolf is very passionate and excited about what he teaches, but his lectures can get off-topic once in a while. He gives test reviews before each test that are similar to the actual tests; do your homework and the reviews and you'll be just fine. Also take advantage of the discussion sessions hosted by Darcy, super helpful.

Lots of homework and offers little to no extra credit. This class covers roughly five chapters a week or so it feels like. Darcy is the only reason to stay in this class. Wolf is very kind and responds almost instantly to emails, however the class itself is not good. WOlf is great but do not take his class unless it is a final resort.

Comment:
Dr. Wolf was a very knowledgable and easy-to-understand professor. He can often go on tangents during lectures and they can seem quite dull, but he gets the information needed across. It mostly repeats information from highschool chemistry and it is easy to get an A without hardly ever showing up to lecture.

The class had a lot of online homework, but it was very manageable and designed to help you learn. Tests were very well made and there are lots of resources available to helps study, like practice tests. Prof Wolf is very intelligent and passionate about chemistry. The only flaw of the class is the lectures weren't always super relevant to tests.

Super nice guy and really responsive over email. Discussion sessions super helpful. Lectures are usually hard to follow but the tests are self-explanatory and the practice exams set you up pretty well if you do them.
