took this class thinking it would be fun and I would learn, but in reality I try to keep myself up from sleeping in her lectures. You wont learn much because everything in the syllabus is unclear, and she does at most what she wants you to hear. Overall nice professor, but good luck staying awake.

This is my second time taking her class and she is still the same. Her syllabus is unclear and she doesn't follow what is written on the syllabus. Prof. Gloria is definitely knowledgeable in the field, however she is not good with teaching. Nevertheless, she is a very nice professor. She is willing to help if you have any problems/questions.

Prof. Boone is very passionate, and very liberal. She's very open-minded, but is not good at teaching her lecture material. She literally reads random facts off the board, and nothing more. Very boring lectures, but very interesting and nice person.

Professor Boone maps out each assignment on her syllabus (unclear at times). If you follow the syllabus and do the readings/homework you will do well. The midterm/final took a couple of hours to complete, but were not difficult. She responds to emails and kept office hours. I highly recommend taking CJN257 with her.

The worst experience I've had with an online class. We receive 1 email/week with a bunch of links to click on. No context, no explanation as to how the links are relevant to the chapter at hand. No video lectures. Questions on assignments are sometimes unclear. She NEVER responds to emails unless it's to berate you for something.

Tough grader. Doesn't explain why she grades the way she grades. It's usually for foolish reasons. Also doesn't know how to answer an email so if you ever have questions, expect her not to answer.

Professor Boone is a down to Earth woman who is truly passionate about the topics in which she teaches. She's engaging and promotes interest in the topic by encouraging discussion on relevant current and historical events. Her take home assignments are a bit lengthy, but if you put some research you'll do well in the class.

there's no real reason NOT to take her class. She's super nice and approachable which is nice because sometimes you need a little bit more explaining on an assignment or project. Not a lot of homework, but there are huge projects that account for a lot of the final grade. Lectures are sometimes boring but she's an intelligent lady and a sweetheart

gloria is a peach. she is very knowledgeable and i believe everything she says. homework is easy, tests aren't too bad but she does have big projects that are very important to your grade. definitely take her, no reason not to.

Gloria's approach to teaching is laid back and allows you to learn more that way. Class was very interesting and she knows what she's teaching. Fun class. Take home midterm and final, 1 presentation and research paper. GPA Booster!

Very bright, witty, and intelligent. Also quite lenient and personable. Despite a laid-back approach to teaching, I ended up learning quite a bit.
