He's alright. He has a good sense of humor. He does make the class very dull, especially when he makes you do a worksheet more than one time. He also will test you over the most random things, not what you really should be tested over.

Pretty easy but probably not the best if you really want to learn. Didn't cover very much material. He's kind of crazy and hard to understand when he speaks just because he has a raspy voice anyway. He doesn't speak Spanish the whole time and doesn't make you either, which is nice. The class is really random, which can be frustrating.

I love Dr. LaTorrie's classes. He is a very smart man. He knows about things that most Americans will never see because of his life before coming to America. He is a good teacher. I have enjoyed many of his classes.

This professor teaches for his students. He is an incredible professor, who will do anything to help you understand. He enjoys joking with his students, keeping a light-hearted conversation, and I learned a lot from him. I'm currently doing whatever is possible to open a class in the next semester so that I may take another class of his. Take him!!

I loved Dr. Latorre. You have to have a willingness to put in the time that goes into this class, but it is only going to prepare you for the future classs so it isn't that bad!! In college you have to learn that a teacher isn't going to teach you everything, you have to be willing to put in the extra effort yourself if you want to earn that A.

I have a 3.75+ g.p.a and good background in Spanish, BUT I have NOT learned one useful thing from Latorre. He humiliates his students in the upper level classes and does not prepare you at all for exams. AVOID HIM IF YOU CAN, and avoid his WIFE, Dr. HUERTA -- they are decent people, but DREADFUL TEACHERS!

He starts talking in Spanish from the very first class and expects you to understand. This was my first time taking Spanish so I had no idea what was going on and it was hard keeping up with the class. He often goes on a tangent about some random thing trying to be funny but only 1or 2 ppl get it.
