I heard great things about Dr Lo. I was extremely disappointed. She is unorganized and did not teach us anything. She constantly over explains and confuses you when you ask questions. She expects you to know information she did not teach. Her handwriting is illegible, I met with her multiple times to discuss this. Take with someone else if possible

Comment:

Jane-Jane was one of the most inspiring teachers I have had at Western. She really cares about how her students are doing and will go above and beyond to help you understand. She made me think about math in a whole new light, which will be very beneficial as a teacher. To the people saying she's hard to understand: this is America, get used to it.

I don't know what some of these people are talking about. Jane-Jane is one of the best professors i've had at Western. It might be a little tough, but pay attention and come to class and you'll be fine. I liked her so much I took a second math class with her!

I never rate professors ever but I highly recommend you take this course with another professor. She hardly answered emails and when she did it was not helpful. Her grading was VERY inconsistent. Class average grade for the entire semester was a C or lower. 1-2 students out of 25-28 got a C/B or a B.

This class was very frustrating. Supposed to be a class of how to TEACH middle school algebra, but it was a review of high school algebra instead. Dr. Lo is very difficult to understand. Take the class with someone else if possible.

Very difficult if you don't attend classes. She is very interactive and willing to help BUT picky on the papers. ADVICE get someone else's paper and read the comments she left so you don't make the same mistakes.. VERY NICE.

Dr. Lo is one of the best teachers I have ever had. She truly cares about her students and will not stop until they understand the material. She is always offering help and is extremely reasonable. Some of the concepts are hard to grasp because of the new way of teaching but Dr. Lo does a great job and has a mass amount of patience.

I couldn't stand this teacher. Her accent is so heavy, it took me weeks to figure out what she was saying. The class itself is not hard, however, she makes it harder than what it really is. She over-explains things and complicates them. Do not take her.
