His class is easier if your an earth science major. If not, be prepared for a lot of confusion. Material comes at you a mile a minute with little to no explanation. You have to write down everything on his slides in order to achieve a decent grade. EVERYTHING. So much of your time will be spend copying things he is reading. Does not accept email.

Wish I could have had Price for the lecture of this class, but as for the lab, he makes it a MUCH easier 2 hours to get through than I think Earman would. His tests are extremely simplified versions of the labs, even if rock identification can be a pain. Definitely recommend Price and his insane jokes.

This guy gave up wanting to be a decent professor a long time ago. He has been using the same Powerpoint slides for years and never changes his material. He is miserable and makes sure you are too when you have to be there. He is specifically out to fail students. I wouldn't recommend Dr. Price - pick someone else.

Dr. Price is the man. Shamelessly mentions his love for iCarly during class. Sure, his jokes are repetitive, but watching as he laughs about to himself about them is hysterical. Tests straight off the notes, which you literally write verbatim off the slides. Easy B if you study a them. "Scientists can date rocks, but they won't say much at dinner."

The text book is recommended but he will not have you read it. Personally, get it anyway because his lectures are meant for advanced level Earth Science majors (which I am not), and he couldn't explain it in "English". His "jokes" get repetitive, but don't let that sidetrack you. His tests get harder if you don't make him happy.

DO NOT USE YOU CELL PHONES IN THIS CLASS. He basically tells you on the first day that if you keep him happy, he'll keep you happy. If he sees people texting (and he will call you out), then he makes the tests harder. If hes in a good mood, the tests are easy. Seriously, it's an easy A if you just put you phone away for 50 minutes.

Horrible Class. Do not take if you don't need it. It seemed like an OK class at first but the test questions are WRITTEN TO TRIP YOU UP! I studied insanely hard for a test and thought I would get a 90 at least since I knew ever question and he gave me a 70! HORRIBLE CLASS MADE FOR YOU TO FAIL!

He's funny, interesting, and passionate about his job. He could care less about attendance, but I suggest going anyway. His jokes are so corny, they're hilarious. Study for the exams. All multiple choice; some questions are a little tricky. Also, he loves Betty White and iCarly.

go to class, take the notes, laugh at his jokes and he'll love you. all exams are multiple choice straight from the notes, very easy. corny sense of humor, but you'll learn to love him. tries to be a jerk but isn't at all. really smart. DON'T BUY THE BOOK. i never opened it once and i got all As. TAKE HIS CLASS.

Honestly, the guy is a bit uptight overall. He gets angsty if you send him an e-mail and will make the last test cumulative if you upset him enough. He actually wanted the class to give bad reviews about him. So if you don't mind half-baked jokes and slightly monotone lectures, knock yourself out and take his class. If not, steer clear!
