This guy is awesome. I had him for a 3 hr auditing night class & we got out at least an hour early everytime. Very flexible and laid back. Love his sense of humor & teaching methods. Such a nice man. Grade consists of group projects, participation, easy short papers, easy chapter summary papers, and 3 15 Q MC exams straight from the book. Easy A!

Definately take again!!! Great class, 3 hr lecture, but always got out before then! Goes over problems, tells you what to study for exam prep, and lets you use note page for tests...how much better can it get?!? If you fail, its b/c of your own fault! Go to class, show an interest and participate in discussions and you'll get an A. Love this guy!

I had Dr. Joesph for auditing. He is a very nice guy and his class is easy. He has a very relaxed approach to teaching. I would have liked to have learned a little bit more about auditing than what he taught. He tends to get stuck on talking about global warming and being republican instead of the course material but I would recommend taking him.

Great Professor, I highly recommend you taking him for Managerial Accounting. He is smart, funny and knows what he is talking about. Has real world experience and is willing to help you out with any trouble in the class. Once again, great Professor

I know he reads this, he should know that the class is easy because he makes accounting simple and easy to understand. I would definatly take another class with him. Show up to every class and write down every problem he goes over, if you do that there is no way you won't get an A. As he allows a page of notes for tests.

He is an amazing prof, he takes a difficult subject and makes it seem easy, very could at explaining it. For the record, I would not mind being his 5th wife either. He keeps class interesting. I would take him over and over again

probably one of the best accounting professors at IUP- his teaching methods are very similar to Dr. Ponko's. You do practice problems everyday in class then he tells you what problems to study for the exams and puts similar, if not the sames ones on it- He really seems to enjoy teaching and tries to give useful information to students

I had Dr. Joseph my first semester at IUP for 201 and loved his class (even though it was 6-9 on Monday). In fact, he was the inspiration for me to change my major to accounting! I thought his real-world examples were great and find myself still recalling things from his class to this day. I took him for cost as well - great guy.

i seriously LOVE dr jospeh. he is SO cute charming and funny!! He lets u use ur notes/book for all the tests except the first one i think. he goes over the problems in the chapter and then tells u which ones will be on the test. he's one of the best at iup... i want to be his fifth wife!! such a sexy older man !

omg soo easy!!! i could not believe it. i actually had to work for an A in 201 but 202 with joseph is cake! he shows you the EXACT hmwk problems that will b on the test but he changes the numbers (same for quizzes) and the last 2 tests were OPEN BOOK OPEN NOTES! doesnt get any easier! lecture is pointless but class is soo easy! take joseph!

It's a good class for business majors to take if they just want to get accounting done and over with. He stresses what he thinks is important, and that's it. For accounting majors, I would not take him...you wouldn't learn enough! He's republican & he lets you know it. Since I'm liberal, he got on my nerves a little. But overall he's a great guy!

First day of class and he already expected us to have the first chapter read. He goes over the problems at the end of the chapter as though we had read it in the first place. Does not teach the chapters. Expects you to learn everything on your own. I get A's on the tests because I memorize how to do the steps. I have no idea what is going on.
