Holy moly, the absolute worst professor in the entire world. If you care about your GPA, DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. She's a very strict grader, lecture heavy, expects you to have good notes, will not put slides online. I had her half the semester on campus, half the semester online because of the pandemic and she was so bad at teaching. STAY AWAY!

By far the worst professor. Literally managed to make every theory about politics during lectures. Gave inappropriate and detailed stories of her past romantic life. She was supposed to post lectures online this semester because of the pandemic but posted only 1 and still expected us to know everything.

Lectures were a bit hard to follow, especially when she goes off in a rant (in every class) about herself. Grading was inconsistent. Had her during the pandemic & she assured us that she knew how to use Canvas, she had no clue and left us to learn on our own for the last half of the semester. It's like she just quit doing her JOB.

I'm not going to lie coming into this class I heard negative things about both the class and the professor. I had to take it for my COMM minor but I was certain I was going to end the class with a C. However I was pleasantly surprised once I took the class. If you show up to every class and visit her office hour once or twice you will be just fine.

I have never been more confused with a professor in my life. She tends to ramble and go off topic in every single lecture leading to getting out late every time. Extremely tough grader, I truly struggled understanding how to go about this class. Would never take again.

This lady should not be a prof as OU. Beware of this class if you want your gpa to stay up. She grades inconsistently and makes her students feel embarrassed to speak up. She genuinely does not care about you succeeding. She lectures about her self and personally stories not about class content. You have no clue what youre supposed to be learning.

Don't take this class. You will have no idea what going on. She makes it impossible to take notes. She is very negative, always complaining about something and loves to call out students on any mistake that they make whether or not it pertains to class. Goes off topic a lot and makes it impossible to know what you actually need to take notes on.

This professor was very out of date when she taught our media and society course. She would focus more on her own idea rather than listen to students opinions. She would grade essays very harsh and would give vague feedback or comments that would contradict with other papers so it was impossible to improve. Just find another comm professor.

Jill Edy is inconsistent in her grading. Her teaching style is fairly unrelated to course material and her attitude makes everything worse. She still thinks MP3 players are a thing, and this goes to show how unqualified she is to teach a media course. I never once felt encouraged by her, nor have I ever received such a low grade in my life.

Overall this class made me super uncomfortable. I felt like she would try to embarrass students when I believe a good teaching environment involves making students feel comfortable to ask any questions. On our first paper she hardly gave any instruction and did not hardly speak about it in class. She also has boring lectures filled with bad jokes.

The lectures are difficult to comprehend. Most of the topics she covers aren't in the book/easily accessible. Pop quizzes (usually on friday mornings).DIFFICULT Tests (which answer is most correct). Tough grader on papers.

Dr. Edy is a great professor. She gets a bad wrap because she doesn't give the grades to you, you have to work for them. Dr. Edy expects a lot but in turn you learn a lot. As long as she sees that you care, she is more than willing help you in any way that she can.

She starts out class by telling how hard her weekend was and how many papers she needs to grade. Then she spends 20 min on talking about random things, she tries to be funny, but she is not. She is super rude, and refuse to help you out. I am a Comm major, and know all the Comm Prof. They are all great, but not her. Overall the worst class at OU
