Warning: she is VERY precise when it comes to spelling. If you're off 1 letter, the entire answer is wrong. Her lecture exams are multiple multiple choice. If you are only taking the 40series to transfer/for a good grade and are not a bio aficionado, I strongly recommend you take someone else!! Extra cred aint substantial enuff to bump up ur grade

Comment:

Taking lab for 40A with her. Couldn't ask for a better teacher. She is crystal clear. Her study guides are very helpful and she treats students with respect. I hope I get to take her again.

Comment:

Lopez is very nice & helpful. Her lab exams are really what killed my grade. She writes them so tricky to the point where you need to re read the question about 5x for all 50 of them:/ I wish they were more straight forward like her study guides. Lab exams are way easier just study. Theres online quizzes, easy. She gives extra points on each exam.

Dr. Lopez is a phenomenal professor. All her lectures are handwritten so you much attend lecture. Her exams are based off her lecture notes. She provides very clear, concise study guides as well to help you study. I received over 100% in her class from the extra points she includes in her exams. I studied approx. 7 hours for each test.

LAB- she docks points when you spell incorrectly. Her exams are short answer questions, you either wrong or right. No partial credit. LECTURE- Multiple Choice Exams. The way she words her questions are so tricky! This portion of the class killed my grade QUIZ- Multiple Choice Not timed Quizzes, but only can submit once

Awesome class. I really want to take her for 40C in the summer if possible. Just show up in lecture, take good note, read your note every day, know how to spell in your lab exams, your chance of getting A is very high. Crystal clear lectures with a lot of application. Exam is straight out from lecture. Straight forward. Fun. No power-point. REC

Mrs. Lopez is an amazing teacher. She is tough but the course it self is very tough. Lectures are long but she makes sure you understands the topic well. Her test can be tricky but is you come to class take good notes and read the book you will do fine. Never test you on things she does not cover. Awesome teacher if you want to learn!

For such a difficult course she does a very good job. She outlines exactly what she expects for the lab exams(flashcards are your friend), and as long as you read the textbook, you will do fine for lecture exams. STUDY STUDY STUDY! Stay on top of your work, make good notes, show up to class even if you just listen.

Mrs. Lopez is wonderful! Physiology is NOT an easy course in general, but she breaks it down very well. Her tests are tricky, and are designed to test how well you pay attention in class. Labs and lectures are both very extensive, but if you stay on top of everything, it is very doable. I loved her and would def recommend her :)

Labs and quizzes are pretty straightforward, lecture exam is NOT. She is one of those teachers that puts tricky questionsmultiple choice answers on the test. Good lecture, obviously knows her stuff but on the test you gotta know the material down to the letter or you might choose the wrong answer.

She was nice, but her lectures were super boring. She counts spelling on lab, but not really a problem if you're good at spelling. Also, she gives you free bonus points on every test! I got over 100% in 40A and a 97% in 40B. Go to lecture, take good notes, and supplement with actively reading the textbook and you'll be good.

She's a wonderful professor! Lecture is a bit boring, but she writes notes during class. She uploads study guides for both lab and lecture. (There are no +/- grades, only solid letter grades.) BTW,don't take her if you're an ESL student, because spelling counts for lab quizzes!! If a word is misspelled, she'll dock off points.

Her lectures are a bit boring, but that's the Bio 40 series for you! She's a super sweet lady - issues out study guides for both lab and lecture (WITH PAGE REFERENCES!!), as well as a list of chapter readings. Lecture tests are HARD/wording is also tricky. BUT study and value her as a teacher. She's one of the better A&P teachers. :)

Her lectures are NOT dry if you are interested in A&P. I enjoyed every lecture. Quizzes are online (not timed). Lab quizzes reflect study guide and spelling must be accurate. Use class notes as primary source for lecture exams (take good notes)! She is a great instructor. You EARN your grade in this class so study well and it will pay off.

No doubt that Anatomy/physiology is a tough class but Lopez doesn't make the class much easier. Her lectures are VERY dry. Her lecture material comes strictly out of the textbook (which is good, material is clear) but she does not use any other ways of teaching besides the textbook.

Dr. Lopez is the best! The subject isn't easy but if you attend lectures, do the assigned readings and complete the study guides, you will get an A. Her test are more than fair and several people even score perfect scores. I managed to finish the course with a 99%, therefore anyone could do it if they just put in the effort

shes a good lady her lab exam is straight up but her lecture exam is another thing.. her lecture is like shooting in the dark. the things he goes through lecture only 30% of it shows up the rest is totally shooting in the dark. and her test is and are very tricky look at the other comments. if i had the chance i would not take her.

Dr Lopez is great. Lectures can get a little boring but I think it's because she is making sure she is thorough. Attending lecture is not mandatory but it pays off to go. Her exams come primarily from lecture material. There's no guessing what will be on the test if you go to lecture. Awesome Bio teacher.
