Comment:

She is very knowledgeable and I learned a lot in this class. You definitely have to work for your grade and really study for the tests. Participation is a must, but if you pay attention you will do fine!

Comment:

I took Textiles as a sophomore, I was super excited I thought it would be really fun and interesting. Well Jodi ruined the entire class. While she very very knowledgable, talking to her makes you feel stupid. Every time I talked to her she made me feel so bad about myself. I'm a good student but I never met a teacher that was so rude & degrading.

She down right the worst professor I have ever had. She is so rude and does not care about her students passing the class. When you ask her for help all she says is go to my office hours and then when you go she gets mad at you for not knowing anything. She teaches in lectures that are not beneficial for helping you with studying for the test.

One of the more difficult professors at Marist but definitely the most knowledgeable. She makes you work hard so you learn absolutely everything and anything you will need to know to be successful in the industry. Don't be intimidated by what you hear about her. Take good notes, study hard and visit office hours!!

Her tests are extremely difficult and even studying normally doesnt help. Her lectures were pretty good and labs were very understanding. Shes just very mean at times which arent good qualities of a professor. Make sure you dont forget your stuff at home.

You will learn more from this professor than you will any other. If it werent for her, I wouldnt be as good at my current job. She definitely prepares you for the real world. If you genuinely wants to learn about the fashion industry, take her classes.

Jodi is a good lecturer and I did learn the material well, however her tests were extremely difficult. If you go to her for extra help during her office hours she will be rude and demeaning towards you, unless she really likes you.

Textiles with Jodi is TOUGH, but she is an insanely smart woman that truly wants her students to get something out of her class. She may seem intimidating, but don't let that phase you. Studying for tests is absolutely crucial, and never forget your materials at home!

This teacher does teach the material very well however she does not smile or say hi back to you unless she REALLY likes you. When you go to see her for office hours she will tell you you are wrong at that's that. She will not help you or tell you why you are wrong. Tests are extremely cumulative so make sure you study every night.

Professor Hartmann is my advisor and I am very thankful for that; she has helped me a lot with decisions in my major thus far. She is really nice especially if you take the time to meet with her and get to know her.

TAKE THIS TEACHER! Do not be intimidated by her, while she can be a tough grader she is going to push you to truly understand the material you are learning. One of the best professors I have ever had the pleasure of taking, she really knows her stuff. If you struggle in her class meet with her she admires when students put forth effort.

I am a bright student, and i do well in all my classes. this is the hardest class i have ever taken. i study for HOURS on end before her test and i still do poorly on them. she's a bit intimidating. i'm here studying for the final right now and i'm praying she curves the final grades.....

She will critique every little thing you do, on every piece of work you hand in. Think your project was exceptional and deserving of an A? WRONG - C. Not friendly, hardly smileslaughs. Does not explain any of the projects in depth, and when you go to her office hours she tells you to figure it out for yourself and is zero help. DO. NOT. TAKE. HER.

She isnt always friendly. she called me "you" most of the semester and only tried to learn my name after she saw i actually tried to participate. the textbook is really important and you must buy it. the test are pretty tough so you have to study.

What really bothered me was that I went to her office hours to get help on an assignment and she would not see me. Then I made an appointment and when she went over it all she did was tell me everything I did wrong and would not help me.

shes so scary! i got a good grade in her class but you have to study, if you dont know something she will freak out and act like youre an idiot. you have to take notes extremely fast and most of the time you only get half of them but if you ask her to put them up on ilearn she will so thats helpful
