Never in my life have I felt the need to rate a professor, but DO NOT take this class if you don't plan on doing an immense amount of reading. The tests are over minor details from readings. She does nothing to help with exams, no study guide. She posts her ppts but they say things like "definition" & "examples" w/ out the definition OR examples!!

Kitt is very unhelpful. I asked for clarification on one of my grades at one point and got a very defensive response from her. The readings are from popular magazines and self-help brochures half the time, so they're easy. You get one cheat sheet per exam-- write down EVERYTHING from the readings. Class has no real aim and is pretty useless overall

I don't think this class was as bad as everyone else said. Some of the info was boring, some I found to be interesting. I got an A with literally zero effort. The project was basically completion. Dr. Kitt is pretty nice and overall this class wasn't too bad. Don't let bad reviews scare you away completely.

I thought this class was going to be enjoyable and that I would learn a lot of useful information that I could take with me after graduation. Totally not true. Her tests are difficult and she asks about tiny details. The projects are way too long for being worth so low.

Avoid this class unless necessary for your degree. It is absolutely pointless! Dr. Kitt let's her personal feelings and life get in the way of her teaching. Class is entirely based off of articles and you don't learn anything. Tests are detail specific regarding facts found solely in articles. Project was pretty easy.

I really enjoyed Dr. Kitt. On test day she can be a bit "testy". Remember pencils, calc, etc. Her test are difficult but she gives a lot of practice exams on blackboard. Use the TA's get full pts on projects. She gives extra credit project and extra credit attendance towards the end of the semester. Learn a lot!

Attendance is mandatory because she does random "activities" that don't seem to be graded but you get full credit. 2 tests over articles she assigns. Tests are really focused on detail so it's easy to not do well. Overall if you don't find her topics interesting then you won't want to pay attention. In the end I got an A, can't complain

I hated this class. SO boring. It's all about articles. Her lectures were boring and she did not explain anything well. Tests are hard and about stupid little details. Would never take a class from her again.

Kitt is a nice professor, but this class is terrible. She teaches it based on magazine articles that she finds interesting. It has almost nothing to do with families or resources. The exams are difficult and focus on miniscule, unimportant details

I don't know, I don't see anything wrong with her way of explanation. I think she's cute. The projects can be a bit of work, but that's just because they're group projects and not everyone in my group cares about their grade. The tests aren't too bad, but they do take quite a bit of studying to do well on.

Kitt is terrible at explaining things....Have to go to T.A.'s at the crack of dawn for any help. I would suggest taking pass/fail, however group projects helped my average tremendously, so I got a B. Tests were DIFFICULT
