Comment:

Dr. Shaw was definitely one of my best professors in regards to what is expected of students and of the material. It's apparent that he attempts to keep the content engaging and clear as possible. I was nervous about not having the ability to resort to a textbook, but as long as you don't miss lectures, it's not an issue!

Dr. Shaw knows his Art History! Lectures were always intriguing. You attend class and take notes which help you complete the weekly quizzes and helps you study for the exams. The way his class is structured is to help you pass and have fun while learning the material. The rest is up to you! Would definitely take another class with him.

Dr. Shaw is a great teacher! Take a lot of notes, keep up with the weekly take-home quizzes, study the quizzes to prepare for the tests and you'll do great! He creates a low stress learning environment. Amazing lectures and powerpoints! You'll learn a lot and enjoy the class! Take a class with him if you're given the opportunity!

Shaw is super dedicated and an amazing man. He is very good at in class lectures I am very curious to see how he is as an online professor. He is definitely over qualified for his job.

Professor Shaw was an outstanding history professor and I would definitely recommend him. His classes are very lecture heavy and you will need to take sufficient notes if you want any chance of getting an A, but you will learn a lot in his classes.

Berkshire Community College is incredibly lucky to have Dr. Shaw teach at the school. He is over-qualified, yet humble and genuinely passionate about teaching. Very good teacher that is very descriptive about his lectures. In this class if you pay attention and take good notes you'll have no problem at all. No trick questions on tests, no surprises. Great teacher, would recommend to anyone.

Comment:

Took him for an online class but for midterm&final you had to go on campus which I found inconvenient. All quizzes were open book & were pretty easy. You didn't have to read to find the answers. Midterm&Final required a lot of studying and memorization. When I asked him questions he wasn't very helpful & only sees things his way. Overall, not bad.

Comment:

Most of the class is graded off weekly take-home quizes, along with a few Exams based off those quizes. The class is made up of a lectures accompanied by helpful power point slides to give a visual for the subject. Notes are necessary for completing the quizes, but he makes it clear what should be noted. Overall very informative and organized!

He talks for the entire class but he makes it very interesting and paints an image with his words, so just take a lot of notes and keep in mind how he says things. He gives a homework quiz at the end of each week, and bases the two exams off of those quizzes. Not too hard if you pay attention!

Very Good etcher, but get ready to take a ton of notes! Definitely have to be on your toes in this class to hear the important lecture points. Amazing power points, but little information. Most of the lecture material is spoken by Keith. I would take another class with this Professor again, very funny & nice.

For an online teacher he doesn't interact with his students at all. Doesn't have any form of discussion so the class has no way to communicate. Your grade is weekly quizzes and a huge midterm and final. The online portion of the class is only worth 25% of your grade where his 10 page mid term and final are worth 75%. Bad grading system!

An easy class, but you learn a lot. i think k.shaw is more concerned with his students learning than the simple memorizing of forgetful material. i would defiantly suggest him, a great teacher.

Keith Shaw is the best professor I've ever been a student of. I've taken every class he's taught at BCC thus far. He has inspired me so much through his own since of passion for the subject, to pursue Art History as a profession. Very fair, so articulate, and a dry sense of humor to die for. Take whatever he offers.

Keith Shaw is extremely qualified for his job as an Art History Professor. He has studied with famous art critic, Leo Steinberg. He is very intelligent and knows what he is talking about. He lecures very well and is very fair. The class is challenging but if you take good notes and study hard for tests and quizzes, you will do very well.

One of the smartest teachers, and he tells you so! Yes, he knows his stuff! However,90% of your entire grade is from tests from his lectures. (1 dropped) No extra credit. If you don't test well, miss a class, don't take perfect notes, you can't get an A. Very tough, you learn a lot, but this can blow your GPA!
