Comment:

Honestly, my favorite professor, I have had in a while. She does base most of the work on group projects but it is manageable to get the work done even if you work alone. The quizzes are easy to pass if you pay attention and take notes. The most challenging parts were the 4th phase of the project and final exam.

Comment:

I loved being in Kelly's class. She is very knowledgeable about design and the entire industry of fashion. The entire course is project based but she is a really easy grader and understands that not everyone was born an artist. Although class and lectures tend to get a little boring, I would definitely recommend this course and Kelly!

This class is great an Kelly is an excellent teacher but the tests are difficult!! They are fill in the blank and the definition in book do not match Kelly's definitions given in class. The tests are written in a way thats hard to understand. Projects are fun and easy.

This class is interesting and simple ten question quizzes every week in class and lots of group work. Final is simple she gives a study guide that follows the exact test.

Comment:

She is extremely knowledgeable about the industry, so don't expect to fool her with any BS'd papers or assignments. Basically the entire semester is a group project, which isn't terrible but not ideal. Go to class, there are lots of small assignments she uses to take attendance. Take notes/study notes & you'll do fine on quizzes.

Being stuck in the same group for the whole semester is a challenge, especially if you are not to fond of your group members. So if you're taking this class, prepare for group projects the entire semester. She is a tough grader and critic. For clarity about the lecture, because it can get confusing, BE SURE to speak with her one on one and be clear

I had the pleasure of having Ms. Weathers as my professor in my Spring 2013 semester! She was kind, fair, understanding, and very helpful when resolving issues. The class can be a lot of work however, an A is definitely obtainable if you attend every class, take notes, and read the chapters for the weekly quizzes.

She is probably the best teacher I've had out of all my years in college. I wish she taught all of the classes in my Merchandising Major. I learned so much. It's not an easy A but it's very obtainable if you attend all classes.

Super nice, interesting lady! Lots of group work, a little bit difficult and time consuming. Gives class a chapter from the book to read, next class reviews and gives a 10 point quiz. You don't really even have to read since she goes over everything

I have enjoyed both of the classes i have taken with her. She was very helpful when i was having a hard time when doing projects. gave a lot of useful input. definitely will continue to sign up for classes that i need that she teaches. =]

Nice, doesn't have half a clue what is going on in the fashion world, but still interesting. Extensive group projects- prepare to work! Show up to all classes, 9 times out of 10 there is a quiz at the end/beginning of lecture. Be a perfectionist in your projects- she's a difficult grader & is nit-picky about details & citing! Good luck!

Spunky is a good word. Ms. Weathers is very assertive with her teaching style; be prepared for really difficult quizzes on long chapters of reading. She is quite knowledgeable on the industry. The Fashion Industry may not sound like that hard of a class, but she makes sure you learn. Do well on the projects and quizzes, and you will be alright.

Good professor overall; very likeable! Had fun with her, especially after establishing good connection. Her lectures are on the boring side, and she doesn't make eye contact with students while speaking. Grades easily, which is sometimes unfair (crappy projects given As anyway..) but no big deal
