Comment:

This guy is very boring. He knows what he is talking about though and will lecture and generally lets you out at least 15 minutes early. His test are long and the first one might be hard but after that he starts repeating questions from previous tests. Also he is starting to lose his hearing which can get annoying when asking him questions.

Comment:

Pretty dry style of teaching, uses power points and doesn't interact with the students enough. Yet he has a really amazing grasp on history of art/arch./religion, etc.. and is very passionate about it.

Comment:

Despite what a lot of people say, I really liked Prof. Stunkle. His tests are REALLY long (t/f, matching, fill in AND essay!) but he asks the same questions repeatedly on tests until people get it right, so once you know it you know it and you'll be fine. Interesting classes, uses PP and pictures... really liked him, great professor!

this guy is ridiculus. expects everyone to get an A cuz he gives a unhelpful 'study guide' with 200 terms on it. you have to absolutely have the love and passion for architecture like he does or you'll just fall to pieces. unbelievable. never had such ridiculous exams in my life.

In a word horrible. Lecture hall...non-stop slides of the Parthenon. Unbearable. Everyone bought tape recorders to tape what he was saying and play back later to study from...but we could not bear to listen to it twice. Also, extremely snooty and unapproachable.

Best professor I have ever had in my life. His ability to convey information and knowledge is unmatched. Take a class before he retires, which will probably be soon, because he has to be like 75.

Dr. Stunkel is the most brilliant man I have ever had as a teacher. His lectures are fantastic and you really learn in his classes from his notes. I have acquired a great love of history from taking his classes. Dedication, integrity, and fairness are his greatest assets. He is a GENIUS!!!!

The most intimidating professor I think I have ever had. How can he know so much? Fantastic Powerpoint Presentations! I am on my way to becoming an Intellectual Historian thanks to him!
