This prof gives three or four different assignment sheets for one assignment with divergent instructions on them. She will take marks off if you don't use all three sheets to find out what the assignment requires. She marks one assignment OVER and OVER again, finding a new thing wrong every time she looks at your paper.AWFUL CLASS.

Very helpful outside of class. Answers questions thouroughly. Helpful over email. Nice attitude, not mean. Needs to brush up on evaluating skills.

A complete waste of time. How about letting the students know what the final project is, instead of introducing pieces of it week by week, on colour coded paper no less. I cannot stress what a waste of time this was. I went elsewhere to get research methodologies.

Useless and aggravating class if you've taken any research method classes before (and I *like* research!). LG is a very tough marker, but will help you if you go see her. I'd avoid 505 if you can, but since it's mandatory that's not possible. I suggest you play "research buzzword bingo" like numerous people in our class did to keep awake.

Now that I am working, I really wish that this class would have actually covered research skills for the everyday librarian (like stats and report writing, something I do all the time). For a class that required so much work, I really got so little out of it.

If you can get past LIS 505, Lisa is a fantastic prof. I think 505 is tough (and yes, could be more clear), because so many people who do not want to be there are required to take it. But if you can take her for a more advanced class, do. She will launch your career.

Lisa is an excellent prof who expects a lot of her students. She is very willing to help if you take time to speak to her. She is a great researcher who passes on knowledge about how to do a research proposal. Want to learn research? Take this clas

Lisa is the worst professor I've ever had. She's insecure in her abilities and that comes across as arrogance and makes her classes very awkward and confused. Tries too hard to be an authority-- would be better off admitting when she's wrong. Avoid her

I had really hoped that Lisa was so hard her first semester because she wanted to set her reputation as a tough professor. She is very knowlegeable but is incredibly unapproachable and I am very sorry that she seemingly hasn't changed.

I wish the clarity option had negative numbers, because she makes less than no sense--if that is possible. Avoid her courses as well as Heidi Julien's. Two rotting peas in a moldy pod.

I don't see what the point of this class was. What a waste of time. Lisa's step 1, step 2, etc. and part 1, part 2, etc. assignments are confusing and she is little to no help. An example of a completed project would have helped.

She really knows her stuff, but marks you like you should already know it too. I don't mind taking her classes, but won't die if I don't have any more courses with her. She is very helpful outside of class, though.

505 had a lot of potential, but Lisa totally blew it. She is more concerned with herself and obtaining tenure than she is about providing quality teaching. She is definitely not a pepper!
