really nice art teacher who definitely knows her stuff. most of your work will consist of drawing or painting in the style of another artist. she does group critique with the class on each others work and hangs them in the arts building lobby. shes definitely tough on work and is front about making you re-work a piece.

Comment:

Printmaking is a lot of work, but if you do your best to keep up, its all good. At home, you cut/etch plates from matte board, poly them. At BCC cover in ink & rub/buff out areas to make the desired print. Some of mine were OK, and not great but Lisa helped me & others learn how to fix them to improve and all of us did. Excellent patient teacher.

Printmaking was fun, and I loved this class & especially with the helpful & wonderful teaching of Lisa Yetz. Self exploration is encouraged. Mandatory homework, 2 plates a week and then the printing of them, & can take lots of time. Insure you have available time- REALLY time intensive. I loved this class, Lisa as a teacher, but it is not for all!

I loved her drawing class! She only grades on your homework actually turned in and your effort & progress over time, not on how talented you are or what your drafts are. You have to finish your homework and turn it in. If you try & turn in all your homework you will do fine. ALso, you have to buy your own supplies:paper & charcoal- expensive!
