Get ready for endless busy work. Most of his lectures are word for word from the powerpoints - you could likely teach yourself what you need to know from the comfort of your home. Due date for final was said to be one date, Sunday the week of finals, we came back Monday before the week of finals and he said it was now due that day. Not great.

Honestly I have no clue what this class was about. Our final was a paper on what we learned in the class that was supposed to be 5 pages, I don't think a single person submitted something that wasn't entirely made up because we didn't learn a single thing.

This was one of the worst professors I've ever had. Didn't actually teach any of the basics and always jumped around from simple to extremely advanced wouldn't recommend.

I'm a senior and have taken Prof Singh for many core classes. His classes are setup the same, group presentations on the same topic instead of him lecturing. A lot of information is outdated or wrong. He's an easy A but when he teaches your major classes and you don't learn anything useful, it's a problem. If you have the option, take someone else

Literally everything wrong with an instructor. Don't rely on Plato for figuring out if you have assignments because it's hit or miss if you know what's due because some of it is word by mouth! Which wouldn't be so bad if he didn't mumble whenever he speaks. He also expects the students to know a lot for an intro to networking class. Smh 0/5

Everyone hates on professor Singh, but I don't think he's that bad. If you show up and listen to the material, you will pass easily with an A. The class goes at a very comfortable pace, perhaps a bit slow for some. You have a lot of free class time to work on the assigned material. Singh himself also usually has some interesting commentary.

Professor Singh grades abstractly, never explains the grades he gives, lectures are borderline useless because he reads off his PowerPoints and claims he is "lecturing", but still attendance is required. He talks slow and softly, which makes it hard to understand him but he repeats what he says about 3 times. I pity those who have to take multiple classes taught by him.

It's only week 3, and I'm already failing. Prof. Not clear at all on due dates, expects us to simply know, Does not give detail, reads from PowerPoint, and is not helpful when you ask.

The only way you're going to succeed in any course of Singh's is to do a lot of outside studying. The courses that he should have taught and didn't have made working in industry a challenge at best. A genuine disappointment after 4 years, and a lacking person to qualify for the core of the networking courses for PCT. Shame.

Best class I have ever taken. All tests are open book and take home, even the finals was open book and take home. Covers a lot of materials. In our section every student got A's except one student who got a B. Would not recommend this course if you are a lazy student - you wil fail

He is probably the worst professor at penn college or at least in this major. He is vague as heck, especially in his directions, and his grading system is the most ridiculous thing I have seen. 74 is a C, 86 is a B, 92 is an A. I had an 84 in his class but that is still a C to him. His final, more than half the material we haven't learned in clas.

Gonna be hard to do this in 300 characters. Commander vague (singh) loves to give projects that have no significance with 1-2 sentences for the description, then passive-aggressively puts in bold 'you're responsible for understanding what I mean'. He grades subjectively, so butter up and an A is 94+, so get good at it.

He is not a good teacher. I feel like he knows what he's talking about but can't teach it to people. The course was really easy at first but then he assigns a huge project where you basically re-type the textbook. The final was so hard I almost failed just because of it. Mind you a F is a 73.9% and lower. I ended with a 81% but that's a C to him.

The class is over all easy for the simple fact of not doing anything. The first 5 weeks of the course you will spend copying tables of the white board. After the next 6 weeks you will copy code out of an SQL book which he will only collect a few of the 50 so exercises he has you do. The last remaining weeks you will work on a simple project Easy A

Though class is mandatory you'll barely learn anything, 99% of your learning comes from the fact that he makes it mandatory to complete every exercise in your textbook so that he can collect a grand total of 3 of them after telling you completely contrary.

Very vague about homework assignments, just tells you do every exercise in the book and only collects a total of 3-4 of them. 90% of the learning in his class comes from the book assignments, which are simply copy code then observe what it does. His teaching style is very slow, gives minor details plenty of attention and almost none to big ones.

Awful. Assignment descriptions are 1 sentence long. He reads from the slides word for word when he 'teaches'. Highest grade as of week 10 is a 71, which is failing because he modified the scale to 74F. I learn nothing from him, he is a nice guy to talk to however, but is difficult to work with. Tests arent what we 'covered' and have noexplanations

He is by far the worst teacher i have had at penn college. You will get an A or B in his class but you wont learn anything. Each year he becomes more lazy, he read straight from powerpoints, gives small meaningless assignments and picks book that give him all the teaching material and doesn't check the quality of the books.
