One of the worst teachers I've ever had. His feedback for you art is along the lines of it's good or it's bad. Doesn't give you anything to work with. He doesn't give enough time to work on the assignments because he's too busy talking about colour theory for most of the semester.

I did enjoy the class, but it was harder than it should have been. He's very unclear on the detatils of assignments and he has no concept of time in terms of how long it takes to complete said assignments. That being said, he knows his stuff and can be very helpful.

Great teacher. He really tries to make sure that your experience is a great one. I see this world completely different now that I understand art. He really connects with his students. Some people complain about his talks but I am always so intrigued. An all in general wonderful man!

Awesome teacher, sure he talks alot but thats whats great! sooo funny! he really personalizes himself with you, and wants you to learn. Good drawing teacher & amazing painting teacher! in my experience he really cares about you and how youre progressing, not only in his class but others as well. FAVORITE teacher

Marcuss- pretty dman good art teacher. Coming from someone not in the studio course, I thought he was really helpful. He totally encourages students and emphasises personal discovery. Never ask him "Is this right?",beacuse it's art, there is no right- only what's more visually appealing

A softy. Reeeeally lenient and easy to sway. Waaay to undisciplined as a teacher; lack or organization (Pour class time-management, talks draw out too long, demo preparation is done during class time while the students sit and watch.) sketchy grading (I once got a A on the same project one day, only to discover that it got an B on the record.)

Great teacher for non-studio art course. Always helped after or before class, will give personal demos during class. He wants you to use your own instinct and ideas, don't ask him "what" you should paint/draw, ask him "how". Sometimes illogical marking scheme, suspect he wants 'artistic flavor' rather than superb technique with the UT courses.

So far he's been lots of fun and the only people I see him really mocking are the people who ask too many "how much, what size" questions. He encourages the "go with your instinct", lots of room for subjectivity but still inspires you to learn.

until this course i'd planned on a career in animation and graphics. Then Marcus came along. He's very oppinionated, spends FAR too much time talking (2 hours of a 4 hour class) and is quite boring. He favors the art students considerably, making those not in the actual art program very uncomfortable. discomfort=bad art
