Comment:

She really relies on you to do VHL which I personally didn't like and its worth 30% of your grade. There is a chapter due every other day and it's at least an hour long for each section within a chapter. I work full time so it's a lot but I didn't expect less to be honest. It's online and college. Do your work and plan ahead and you'll do fine

Very hard. She expects you to speak spanish by week 2. She requests a recorded video of yourself in Spanish in week 3. Midterm & Final are both via Skype holding a conversation with her in Spanish. She wants you to write paragraphs in Spanish by week 4 only using the words in the chapters. Takes forever to respond back to emails.

UNRESPONSIVE. Assignments are locked so you can't work ahead which I believe is completely unfair and unreasonable especially if the professor will open it whenever she feels like it. She takes forever to respond, is unclear when you ask for help. You are completely on your own in this class. Assignments take forever to complete.

Do not take this class if you don't want to, or don't have the time to complete homework 3 TIMES A WEEK plus discussion posts, essays, and oral presentations. Way too much workload for one class, and this is coming from someone who enjoys doing homework. Assignments only open two days before it is do. In other words take another professor.

Horrible at responding, took over a month. took online, and was worst class ever. Hundreds of assignments due weekly and big projects/tests/quizzes only open 2 days prior to due date. Ive taken multiple spanish courses online, and this was by FAR the worst

She gives so much work due in a short amount of time. If you are thinking about taking this professor don't. For a foreign language class, i did more work than i did in calculus. There is homework due every 2 days and projects all the time. VHL supersite is a whole domain she wants us to use on top of blackboard so it feels like twice the work.

She does not communicate back to the students what so ever.... She is not helpful either when it comes to o what we need to know for exam material and final. Do not take this class is you are unable to sit at your desk for 3hrs+ working on Spanish every day.....

I took four classes this semester and out of my whole 1.5 years at Valencia have never seen a class with this much coursework. Not only was it 30 assignments every other day it was the fact that she expected us to understand and memorize Spanish. Her tests are opened two days before they are due and she doesn't tell you whats on the final exam.

Absolutely love her. compared to the last professor i took for 1120, she is the best. Her grading is very fair. She understands that students are working on multiple classes. With that being said, try no to miss any submissions. You can get an easy A as long as you do the work.

Took her class online, was fairly easy. I liked how she gives you practice and activities to help you succeed though I hate when the test is based on webcam U. I don't get how ppl say it's so hard, if you do the work, activities, discussions and do fairly well on tests u are sure to definitely pass with an A or B. I totally would recommend her!

I have no experience with her for in person, but for online DO NOT TAKE HER. She's a nice woman, but she does not keep up with her online classes. Will take up to a month to grade assignments, and doesn't update the class or anything. Its pretty much a teach yourself class.. You have little time to do assignments and tests. WORST CLASS EVER

You're unable to work ahead as lessonscoursework are opened by the instructor and she does not open items as listed on her course calendar. Many assignments were opened a day or two before they are due. Emailsmessages to her go unanswered, and the messages she does respond to are condescending. Stay away from her class.

Terrible teacher. I took online elementary Spanish I. 30-60 assignments due each week. No joke. Homework due tues, thur, and saturday. She was awful. Took forever to respond to e-mails, and was very rude to many of the other students when she did respond. You can pass this class, but take it by itself. Extremely time consuming. Would not recommend

If you choose to take this teacher, good luck teaching yourself another language. She doesn't help you, she won't communicate with you, she grades at a snails pace so you don't know what you need to improve on before exams. If she cared enough to respond to email, it probably wouldn't be THAT bad. She just doesn't seem to care whether you learn.

HORRIBLE!!!I took this class online,the assignments through the online book are easy to keep up with.But if you have any questions or concerns about the other modules that she post then you're SCREWED because she NEVER gets back to you. You pretty much have to follow what others are doing and hope for the best. TAKE ANOTHER TEACHER!!!
