Took online. She is very responsive to all questions! Quizzes after each chapter & u have to write up an analysis for each chapter too. Make sure you read the book carefully before attempting quizzes, because quiz Q's are tough at times, but manageable. Analysis have to be 300 words and up. As long as you keep of w/ deadlines and do best, its good!

Very knowledgable in the history field, but tends to rely on lecture heavy classes way too often. I learned a lot in the class and I would've enjoyed it so much more if the teaching aspect was more dynamic.

Definitely the best professor Ive ever had. Her lectures were interesting, and if you pay attention and take good notes, her tests are passable. She has an extremely fair grading system, and I felt prepared for every test. 100% recommend!

Martha is one of the best teachers I've ever had at LCCC. Not only is she funny, caring, and helps to connect the subject to modern day, she actually gives fair tests that you can easily ace if you pay attention. She told us the book was needed if you weren't great at history - I bought it but didn't even need it because she can teach so well!

Her class is all lecture with no powerpoint. She is funny and personable but slightly unprofessional, but you get over that fast. She is very knowledgeable and does a good job explaining and answering questions. Her tests are tough but not unmanageable. There are several papers due including a research paper. Get ready to take lots of notes.

If you're an auditory learner, you'll really enjoy the class. However, if you're a visual learner, I do not recommend. She talks a lot and the power points have nothing to them. You have to write what she talks about which gets difficult. Tests are 3 essays usually 20-25 pts each. If you're a history nerd, go for it. If not.. good luck.

Martha is great. History tends to be a boring subject but her lectures make it so much easier to follow. She is very fair concerning the effect of religion on history and does not pull any punches regarding it. If you don't want to be questioned in your beliefs, if you have any, then don't take her classes. Not that she's gonna call you out, but...

She was the best teacher I have had. She made history interesting which is my least favorite subject. There was one paper that she is more then willing to look over. She gives you the test essays before hand so we know what to expect

Martha is an amazing person, she's passionate about history and her class is enjoyable. The class should have been more rigorous. The material felt rushed and we didn't cover everything on the syllabus. This is mostly due to other students taking over the class with inane discussions that had nothing to do with history. Easy tests, 1 paper. Easy A.

MARTHA IS THE BEST! I LOVE her. I just happened to have her as a teacher my first semester, just by chance she was my teacher, and I am so glad I got her! I purposefully took her for HIS 102 the next semester, and for HIS 240 this semester. She is so funny and will do everything she can to help you. Just put in the effort, it's not an easy A.

Favorite professor ever. I was never interested in History before her, and I not only had an amazing learning experience, but I made a friend in the process. She is an exceptional professor and person. She makes you look at things from an unconventional perspective and makes the learning process fun and interesting. Never a dull moment! <3

Martha is an amazing teacher!! She is so nice and funny. She has you write one paper and you get to pick what to write about and have the whole semester. Her tests are easy too. For the test she gives you the essay questions a week early so that you know what they are. Overall amazing teacher and person.

Amazing teacher. SHe does require you to write one essay, but she gives you the entire semester. Tests often have essay questions, but you get to pick which ones you do. She's very helpful and it's always a very fun class.

I highly reccomend this class and especially this professor. Her teaching style is casual. She can also be quite opinionated. There is a lot of writing expected. I got more out of this class than the traditional 'memorize this and spit it back out on a test' class. Overall, just an awesome class and an awesome teacher.

Way too many notes and too many papers, this is history, not English ffs. Midterm had to be a minimum of 7 essay pages! Takes attendance every day but shows up late most days. Nice enough, but I wouldn't recommend if you have a full load already.
