Highly recommend. Each class was so intriguing I looked forward to each class. Her knowledge is immense. The research project was a pain. The tests and quizzes were easy (just make notecards). The final was actually fun.

A lot of work for an intro level class. If you have no interest in art history (I def. didn't) do not take this class. She can be downright mean, unavailable for help outside of class and unwilling to work with you. Avoid her if possible!

She knows her information, and it was interesting. Lectures difficult to follow. Expected WAY too much for a 100 level classm, more than any upper level. Cancelled class the day before the final without having taught half of the material, telling us to look in the book even though in the prior class she admitted to not having opened it all semester

A lot of people have a hard time with her tests, I personally did not, but can see how people who aren't good with memorization would be. She's very clear and knows what she's talking about. If you're interested in the subject matter, take her, otherwise don't. Being interested in what she's teaching goes a long way.

This teacher really is not that hard. The only people that could complain are those who think they can make it through college without any type of hard work or studying. It is a lot of information but she makes it really easy to understand with detailed lectures.She also has every image that will be on every test along with practice test on ctools

This quite possibly the worst prof at UMD..the first day she seems nice and then it just gets worse everyday. She doesn't get that this is a 101 class. Her tests are what your grade is mostly based on and they are extremely hard, based on memorizing dates locations and material. If you need to take art history i strongly recommend taking Perlove.

I am in a wheelchair and she MADE ME FEEL HANDICAPPED! A-HOLE!!! Wrote a letter to the DEAN about how she made fun of special needs students! The WORST woman I have ever meet in my life. Her class is fascinating, her knowledge is well rounded. As a human being she is rude, dissmissive, and on a power trip. She will cut you off while your speaking.

I'm sure if you were interested in this subject, you would love this class. If you are only taking this class because it is required, avoid this teacher! Very difficult test that are focused on memorization of facts. She needs to remember that this is an intro class and nobody in it cares about the subject. Unfair to expect so much from a 101 class

Very easy. Make flash cards ahead of time, review them twice a day. Easy A. A+ actually. Sometimes gets awkward when she waits for people to respond to her questions. Other than that, great class.

Nothing but memorization. Plus she is outrageous in her expectations for her tests. Some how I have made it through 200 and 300 level classes with A's but this intro class is giving me a hard time? Please. What a waste of my GPA. Avoid this teacher at all costs.

Taking this w/a heavy load of business classes b/c i thought it'd be an easy 101 course. wrong. so much pointless memorization. no multiple choice, only writing on exams, so all they prove is ur ability to cram facts into your head. has nothing to do with UNDERSTANDING or LEARNING. I have 95% in advanced accounting yet 81% here. USELESS CLASS

There is one thing that she is strict about is attendance, go early or else she will take points off (tardy) like ****ing middle school. this prof was so easy, i never cared about arthistory, but once i took her class i became so interested. the book was a waste of money, i never even took it out of its plastic wrap, just make sure u take good notes, which isnt hard since she talks all hour. her tests are easy, just memorize all the info. my final grade was an A. very cool very nice

She is so hard tests are impossible. If you wont extra credit 1 point you have to go to musuem in ohio.The tests are all essays no multible choice and you have to memorize tuns of monuments.
