Great professor! :) 3 lecture exams (multiitten) 1 comprehensive final, & 2 lab practicals that are written & walk around. Weekly lab quizzes. 1 lab binder due on day of practicals. Study study study! Will not pass if you dont put in time. Labs are interesting, dont plan on getting out of class early. DO NOT get behind on material, its a lot!

Comment:

Best anatomy professor and he knows it. He wants you to do well, will work one on one with you during lab. He teaches a lot by drawing and it helps a ton. When he asks you a question and you're not sure, it looks like he gets personally offended but I think it's because he wants his students to be the best. You will have to work HARD!

100% do not recommend. Unless all you're doing is just taking this class and not working and have no life then you MIGHT pass. But if you have a job, husband, or really any hobbies, you might get a C if you're lucky. I've never studied so hard for a class only to do average. Hardest tests i've ever experienced and I have an undergrad! Don't take it

I took his class during the summer and let me emphasize this: I HAVE NEVER STUDIED THIS MUCH IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. I'm thankful that I took his class because it helped me to establish my effective study habits. Study and memorize by sections so you won't get overwhelmed by the amount of material. His handouts are very helpful too!

I'm not a SCI major so the subject itself is difficult but he goes over everything, make sure to do voice/vid recording cause your brain won't absorb everything. I didn't take him seriously when he said you need to spend 15hr/week studying but BOII WAS I WRONG cause i failed my 1st test :) you're gonna hate him a bit but he's the best of a bad lot

he was a hard teacher, alot of material to cover but over all he was a good teacher. be prepared to study alot and dont wait until the last minute to study. Class worth taking

All based on exams! Talks softly so sit closest to screen. Hes cool. Drawings terrible, messy writing. Labs and exams on same day and the day before he starts NEXT chapter?! No hws. All quizzes are extra credit. During labs he goes around and reexplains and you can record him so thats helpful. Very old school. basically make a bible 2 pass!!!

Be prepared to put in work. Don't slack on the lab notebook. Do it as soon as you do that lab because they will pile up. Memorize everything! He's a tough trader. Buy colored pens/highlighters for notes. Will make life easier. Talk to him about fishing/fish and you'll get those brownie points. Don't miss class! Exam reviews don't help much.

Mr. Stupy is amazing! He's very funny and caring. It's a 5 unit class so it requires you to put in a LOT of time, but as long as you do, it's a very straight forward and easy A. Don't buy the textbook, just the lab book! Memorize everything on all of his handouts and you will get an A no problem. I wish all teachers were like him!

Professor Stupy has been the best professor I have had throughout all my college courses. It is thanks to him that i am doing amazing in nursing school. He is the best and a great person to top it off!

You have to live and breath micro when taking his class he expects you to memorize everything he talks about, he is not easy going, and sad to say he has favorites, if hw is due and you are a few min late to class he deducts points which is not cool he is not easy going he trys to make jokes which is nice but that is the only nice thing he does.

Comment:

Microbiology isn't an easy subject and taking this class with Professor Stupy isn't easy at all BUT he is so clear on what he wants exactly from students. He gives you most of the notes but you literally have to memorize every little detail (spelling counts!) Just study everyday so you won't cram the day before and you'll be fine.

Stupy is by far the best professor I have had at El Camino. He has a very dry sense of humor (he is hilarious), so don't be too sensitive, he means well. This class is not easy, but it's not supposed to be a walk in the park. Memorize his handouts, those are what he bases exams off of. If you commit the time, you will do fine. Stupy is the best!!!

Stupy is very intelligent and knowledgeable about the subject he's teaching . That being said, he's completely unapproachable as a professor to the majority of his students. He ROLLS his eyes if you ask questions, and is extremely condescending if you answer incorrectly during lecture. He's not a nice man, but he is a good teacher. Good luck.

This is definitely a tough class but by no means is it impossible to pass. It may seem like a lot of information but he writes all the notes down with you or gives you a packet and almost all his test questions will be from the notes. If you study the notes everyday a little bit at a time you will do good. Repetition of notes is key to memorizing.

You really can't slack off. You have quizzes, lab practicals exam, lab exams, lecture exams, lab notebook, and much more. There's extra credit, but you really have to work for it. You almost need to be perfect to get a high score. He's a tough grader. Don't need the book but memorize ALL his handouts. There's no study guide. Lots of work!!

Hardest class I ever took but, it was amazing! Take pics of all the labs and upload it on a doc (labeling it will help). Finish the lab notebook early. Don't take physio with it. Study everyday and keep it up. You can not slack. Get a study partner. Participate. Bergeysnightmare but memorize it. although its a lot of work it will be fun!

I am very grateful to have had Mr. Stupy as my professor. He's not the type to slack off on the lecture so you have to keep focus at all times! He gives out extra credit but make sure you hear it because none of what he offers is on the syllabus, but he's really tight with those points so make sure to make that xtra credit count! I got a B :)

Warning: this is a really difficult class so BE prepared This class requires so much constant effort and you cannot slack off. There are lab quizzes every single week and he grades extremely hard so be as specific as you can. Memorize everything! But his lecture are fun and so are labs. Also he is such a nice guy and he has so many funny stories!
