I absolutely loved his class so much. Yes it was a lot of homework but it is very easy if you give yourself the time do it. He gives out lots of extra credit opportunities and you can most definitely pass with an A. His lectures were the best and very interesting.

Enjoyed his class but Packets are SO LONG FOR EACH RELIGION . IF YOUR NOT THE TYPPE THAT has the patients to read the whole chapter and dig for the answer this isn't the class for you. He's nice and all but at the end its the grade were looking for so DONT miss class or a packet you won't pass they r worth a lot

I really enjoyed taking Wintz's class. There's work you've got to do, but if you to the work you will definitely get an A. He grades pretty nice on papers and when he offers extra credit, do it! Attending class is important because after a certain number of absences, he will drop you. Great teacher and all around a great guy!

Comment:

Amazing lectures! The only problem that i had was that COVID-19 ruinned the second half of the semester and i couldn't listen to Mr. Wintz' storytelling. If you aren't willing to put in the time to do the weekly packets (10-15 pages each and about 3-6 hours to complete), this isnt the class for you. PS- impossible to fail if you do the work/EC

His packets are super long easily 12-14 pages long. His lectures are interesting but don't help that much in getting answers to the packet if attendance wasn't mandatory I wouldn't show up and use that time trying to go through the textbook to find the answers to the packet.

This class has been one of my favorites. He clearly loves what he is teaching and he teaches this class by "telling the story of religion." This class only had 3 packets, all answers are found in the textbook, a research paper, and paper on an interview from a congregation around or in Mesa. Overall, very interesting and informative honors class!

He is an awesome teacher. I loved all the lectures because he knows so much about all religions. Make sure you get the packets done. Gives lots of extra credit. Definitely recommend him!

This is one of the best classes I have ever taken. Mr. Wintz was an amazing lecturer and always made the lectures fun and unbiased. The only homework is packets which are pretty easy as long as you buy the online textbook. He was always available to answer questions and help you. Highly recommend this class and professor for everyone.

Amazing professor! I had a great time during his lectures and he is very unbiased when speaking about every religion. I would recommend taking this course to anyone interested in an easy A, opening their minds, or just trying to meet their global/humanities requirements.

One of the best classes I have taken at MCC. Professor Wintz made the lectures fun and you truly learn so much about other Religions and their beliefs. There is a lot of work in the class but its pretty simple. And he offers a ton of extra credit.

Wow! This was probably the best class I have taken! Professor Wintz gives amazing thought-provoking and fascinating lectures. Assignments are easy, but can take up some time. Plus, I was able to do enough extra credit to not have to take the final. I wish he could teach all of my classes!!

I took his once a week night class and I was worried I was going to fall asleep. I never did he was amazing and his lectures are wonderful. I learned a lot in his class. There is a lot of work but you just need to manage your time and you will pass.

This was my second time taking Professor Wintz, he is by far my favorite professor! I enjoy his lectures and he's just an overall good guy. There are 3 packets in this class, a presentation and 2 lengthy papers. But that's it! It really isn't that much work if you don't procrastinate. Amazing teacher, great insights, and a good sense of humor.

Great prof. His subject is interesting enough as it is, but the way he teaches lectures is akin to story telling so all you really have to do in class is attend and pay attention. Gives a lot of extra credit work and the packets aren't hard at all. Great class and would definitely have him as a prof again.

Hands down, the best teacher I have ever had! His lectures are awesome and he is a great story teller! The class does require some work. The packets are lengthy, but I got so much out of this class it was worth it. He offers a lot of extra credit too its great!

By far the best teacher I have ever had! I have taken two of his classes & would take many more if I could. Somewhat lengthy packets are due every few weeks but you have plenty of time to complete them & LOTS OF EXTRA CREDIT!! Bring him chocolate or coffee & the extra credit is yours! Definitely take this class, you'll be laughing everyday.
