People call her the devil but those guys shouldn't be at Wabash. Not afraid to call out slackers; will send guys home for not reading; spends a whole week talking about ancient sex torture. But once you accept that you will fail, take her criticism and apply it, your writing will drastically improve & realize she's a genius. Changed my life.

She made a point to refute the earlier comment about what to write in papers. she looks for the quality of the argument rather than a condemnation of sexism. she is fair to all perspectives. also full of energy and passion for teaching. a great prof!

Tons of reading, very opinionated, but not pushy about it. Make your thesis about how male oppression of women has caused the problem in question and you're guaranteed an A, provided you have a good writing style. I'd rather have a beer with her than a class.
