Took his DDP class and have to say alot of work, but with all the poli scie classes I've taken I've learned the most from this hands on way of learning, I understood things better figuring out answers rather than to read the text, after this class I plan on double majoring in business and poli scie, complete the work on time and you'll do well!

Comment:

HARDEST class I have ever taken. Ask anyone and they will tell you the same thing. All the work was a massive group assignment broken into sections with an intro exam (most failed). He curves alot at the end though. Takes "pop" attendance and lectures are not related to the group assignments. Advice find as % of GDP & look for trends in the data.

I hated this class and professor. Class was useless, grade is pretty much one huge project that he grades hard and marks down for formatting, without telling how he wants it formatted. Only test mean was 31/59. That should tell you all you need to know

This teacher is one of the worst I've ever had. I went to every class and got a B-. Take online econ its way easier. I got an A in Econ 102 without even going to class

Although I received a great grade in this class, prior to actually SEEING this grade I was PRAYING for a C. He is incredibly unhelpful when asked any question, be it language barrier or stubbornness I could never tell. This class is a capstone; he did not take this into account while teaching. His projects are unreasonable, textbooks don't help.

I really enjoyed the class. The professor is extremly knowledgable and you can learn a lot from him. Students that complain about him aren't used to his teaching style. Lecture is mandatory if you want to do well. He is more willing to help you if you put forth the effort. Overall a very good class and I enjoyed it very much.

Granted, I took this class several years ago, but the comments here don't reflect my experience at all. Prof. N has an incredible amount of "real world" experience which, while he doesn't whip out for bragging rights, does come up in a way that contextualized the theory. The subject matter is really interesting and he was very kind to my class.

What a ****... trust me. Worst classes at WSU are taught by him and he is quite possibly the worst teacher I have ever had or will have. DON'T TAKE A CLASS FROM HIM IF YOU DON'T HAVE TO! This is coming from an honors econ major!

If you want to learn anything, you must attend class or you will end up complaining about your grade. Recommended for anyone who wants to learn more about the world and economic development. You can learn a lot from him and tests aren't as hard as some may say. The questions are provided prior to the exams. Write everything you know and you're fine

He grades everyone difficultly and curves so it's not that bad. Plus, he is the most intelligent teacher I've had and going to his lectures and taking his classes will actually teach you something for down the road no matter how "painful" it might seem now. I barely went to class and got a B. These other students are just sub-par.

You will not get an A in this class and you'll probably get a D on his first exam, but he curves everything and no one gets a great score so you'll end up with a decent grade. And even though his class is difficult his lectures are worth it, its a really interesting class, I recommend it.

A jerk of a teacher. I'm an econ major, so the content was easy for me to understand, but trying to get help outside of class was nearly impossible. He just brushes people off. He's also the most unfair grader I think I've ever had and takes attendance for grades. At least he's a conservative!
