Comment:

I really didn't like him at first, but once I figured out that old quizzes/exams are posted on Sakai and are nearly the same problems, I started doing a lot better. I didn't like his lectures very much and ended up just studying a lot on my own, but I still went to all of them. Optional HW & 2 Mathematica projects he gives you a notebook for help.

Comment:

This was the hardest class I have ever taken. Probability & Statistics is difficult but Professor Kulenovic does a really great job at making the material easier to understand and provides a lot of examples to help you prepare for quizzes and tests. He engages students to learn and is passionate about the subject. Highly recommend Professor K!

Comment:

Kulenovic is the man, took the two hardest courses of my time at URI with him. It was a struggle but he gives you all the tools you need to get through it. Copy down all of his examples in class and then you'll have exactly what you need to do the quizzes and exams. Everything's open book and he's an easy grader on the HW.

Comment:

This is one of the worst professors I've had in my 5 years here at URI. Kulenovic comes to class unprepared to teach and puts in the absolute minimum effort into his job that he can get away with. He is not capable of responding to student questions without getting hostile. He gives practice exams which are EXTREMELY similar to actual exams.

Really sweet guy. At first hard to understand but after a while you get used to it. He's really nice and his class isn't too hard. He makes the quizzes do-able and also gives you previous quizzes to study off of. Really cool professor I would definitely take his class again.

Material is confusing and he doesn't explain it well. However, he posts previous quizzes and exams with solutions which are very similar to the ones he gives in class. The quizzes/exams are also open book, though the book isn't very helpful. The homework from the book is hard but most solutions are in the back. Didn't learn much but it was easy.

Excellent teacher. Interesting material too. Kulenovic is a very straightforward professor who gives helpful examples and reasonable assessments. He posts practice quizzes and exams on Sakai which are very similar to the real thing (although not identical). Very helpful during office hours. Cool guy too.

Kulenovic is a great professor. His linear algebra class consisted of 2 exams, 6 quizzes (1 dropped), and 2 Mathematica assignments. He posts "practice" quizzes and exams online for each one. And then the actual tests and quizzes are always very similar. You don't need to buy the textbook, but it's nice to have if you want to follow along in class.

Good teacher. Find a good seat; he blocks his example calculations and you have to catch up because he moves to the next quickly. Don't be fooled by his practice quizzes and exams. All new material is fair game for every quiz and exams are cumulative. Make sure you understand his examples and you'll do fine. Material isn't hard and he's helpful.

Excellent instructor. Very knowledgeable of the topic (as you'd expect) and a generally nice person. Provides lots of practice problems and is remarkably patient with those lagging behind. A+ for Professor Kulenovic, would take another class with him.

Professor Kulenovic was an amazing and enthusiastic professor for MTH381. He assigned problems that were relevant to the material in the class and to his quizzes and exams. His lectures, while sometimes lacking an apparent organization, were always engaging and humorous, especially learning about "big time" mathematicians and theorems.

Best math teacher I have ever had. I think I had him for about 5 of my math classes. LOVE HIM. He isn't the easiest thing in the world but if you go to class, take notes and ask him questions when you have them - you will get a good grade. He is so easy to talk to and really wants all his students to do well.

Gives practice exams very similar to actual exams, as well as weekly quizzes. Also exempts you from the final if you have an A. Very nice teacher, makes a difficult subject relatively easy to understand. Take him if you can.

Comment:

Professor Kulenovic is a clear, intelligent, and prepared professor. All of his lectures were structured in an organized fashion, and the examples he provided in class were relevant to the ones on his quizzes and tests. He also provided historical interludes during the lectures, which gave another dimension to the material. Strongly recommended.
