He asked me to leave his class because I proved a point for a student that didn't understand Peter. He told me I was being rude, I told him he was being unclear. This was in '02 so he may have improved by now.

One of the worst teachers i've ever had! the class was boring. he never stayed on topic. There were never any notes given in class...it was horrible! i learned nothing and I'm taking the class over to get a better grade.

I was disappointed that Pattall kept his back to the class during test times and others were easily able to cheat, while I had to study my a** off. The lectures were boring and he allowed other students to treat him disrespectfully and disruptively to the the class in general. Ready to retire!

He was cool and didn't care if you came to class or not! All the material and tests for PSY are the same anyway and you have 3 chances to take each test. He was laid back and FUNNY he always told funny stories that had to do with what we were learning! I woulnd't have passed his class without them! He was AWESOME!

I'm surprised that Patall is still at MCC. I attended his behavioral psych class in 1973. He knew his material and he was decent enough. But I made it clear to him that I in no way agree with behaviorism as an explanation for human behavior. I am a Christian and he is an agnostic. Other than that, I finished his class better educated.

I thoroughly enjoyed his lectures...I found him to be one of the most intelligent human beings I have ever encountered. I did not like to miss his class, his lectures were never boring and without them I would have not been able to understand the material as easily.

Amazing? The last person MUST have been in a different section. I found Proffesor Patal to be boring and he thought of himself alot. I did like how he taught to the tests - it made taking them a little easier - but he was not worth my parent's money!

Loved his stories......wish more people were tough enough to stand up to people like he does. Thoroughly enjoyed the class. Tests were hard, but I have used the knowledge in other psy. classes.

GREAT TEACHER, GREAT GUY, GREAT everything. Very interesting, lots of fun...etc. YOU CANNOT judge him right away! He comes off as someone he's really not at first, really a great guy though. Has morals and experience!

Everyone saids how horrible of a teacher he is....he's actually a good teacher. he gives you all the information you need to know on paper which really prepares you for tests. Although he doesn't answer all your questions, he's not a bad teacher at all!

When you ask him a question, he goes off on a different subject, just getting you more confused than you already were before. Don't bother reading, don't bother studying, just guess your way through the tests, you'll have a better chance passing that way. Nice guy, but terrible teacher!

Comment:

Had him for 101 during Intersession. Hard to cram all that info into 3 weeks of classes, but I enjoyed every class, his notes were complete and corresponded to his tests. He was fair. I would take a class from him again.
