Worst class ever. I now hate Western Civ because there is way to much information, no notes, and stories about his family trips to historical places. Not organized and will lose papers. Very hard to do well when you do not know what to do!

He is the sweetest man alive and he is very passionate about history. Some times he had some interesting stories but it really did get boring a bit..I passed everything in on the last day of class missing a few assignments and still got an A..just go with the flow

This class is a waste of your money.Hes a nice guy,but his class is very boring.If you enjoy looking at slides of the Oehling Family Vacations,then maybe you'll like this class.He constantly looses your assignments and you wont get essays back til a month later.Hes also very old,im afraid he might pass away during class one of these days...

Bring a pillow and blanket to class... the only way i would have been able to do well in this class is if i popped to ritalin before class, sat in front, and drank 2 coffees while i listened to his lecture... if u dont have that kinda money or patience then go somewhere else. GARBAGE

Not too difficult of a teacher. You mostly look at slides of architecture. This might interest you if you are in to this type of stuff. He is more than willing to help with writing papers. He is a very nice man and interesting to talk to.
