Prof. Volpe seems strange at the beginning of the course but when he warms up to the new students you would have a good time. He like to joke around but when he means work just follow his rules and you will pass. 3-4 Speeches depending on timing and one final test. If i can retake I would.

Professor Volpe is very egotistical. I completed all my assignments along with the extra credit and he still would not give me an A. Favorites students over one another, and makes inappropriate comments at times. A professor is supposed to make you want to learn not tell everyone they are falling every day, joking or not. Its not funny.

I love him! he is so funny, also good teacher. every class you attend, you will learn something. or at least you will enjoy the moments. because he is super funny. homework is very reasonable at first it was quite difficult to me,, but worth it.

I hate speaking in front of people, but Professor Volpe made it very easy to do. He is very outgoing and always makes the class laugh. I would suggest him to anyone who needs a speech class!!

He's an awesome teacher keeps the attention of the class. He's very clear with assignments and always reminds you and will explain it to you so you won't be confused. He's rules are simple. You follow the rules and pay attention you'll be fine. And he's very specific how he wants his speeches done as well.

Holy Ego! This man will speak the entire class time and when you ask a question he will belittle you. Forget about asking for help, he'll shame you. He says work is due on a certain date, but if your late and he's already collected the paper, he will not allow you to submit it until next class where it's considered late.

The class is organized hence at no point will you be uncertain of what's expected of you. He talks a lot but it's motivating since the class after all is SPEECH! It will be the best teacher you've ever had, he's inspiring. As far as the play is concerned he will give you a list of ways to gain free tickets otherwise you can rent the DVD.

If you have the money to see a broadway show take the class it is a mandatory assignment. Cannot see a play a Bergen. Way too much work for a communications class, but the work was not hard. He does get long winded about himself at times but how else do you fill all of those hours! You will never leave early.He does not break his promise about that

This class definitely takes you out of your comfort zone but Prof. V makes sure everyone is supportive of each other and offers positive reinforcement.He genuinely cares about his students and wants all to do well.The only thing I dont like is that he goes off topic A LOT and can be vague at times.Good guy overall tho 5 3 min. speeches and 2 tests.

hard grader,not that helpful attendance mandatory, do not expect to leave early he takes attendance twice. class was only interesting during presentation other than that he talked about nothing he made sexual comments or hinted at them. class was expensive mandatory b'way play,persuade to buy product you had to purchase product

Not only is he a great person but a great Teacher! his class was fun, interesing, easy, and i made allot of new freinds. if you want an easy class with no stress, this is the one for you! He makes the class fun, and teaches you about life it slef. i recommend his class and him as a teacher.

If you like operas and musicals such as Broadway, u'll like this class, but I didnt so i dropped it. He pushes his life style and interests into you and if u dont like it, ur going to have a tough time. PS If you u take his night class until 10:30pm, dont expect to leave early!!

If u want to just get an A w/ minimum effort, this is not 4 u. (I got A) On the other hand, he is fair, although particular & meticulous about his assignments(some are VERY creative and fun). Put in some effort and u can REALLY improve your speech skills. Class was in new TECH building at night :)
