I studied under Ron Baba more than 45 years ago when I was an undergraduate student and he was a new faculty member. He was, without question, the most influential professor I had and I studied t five different universities. He was an awesome mentor and he had a tremendous influence on the rest of my life.

Comment:

Does not follow his own syllibus leaving students confused, doing work they didnt need to do. He brow beats students he doesn't like and flirts with those he does. He didn't grade any artwork until the sememster was over except for giving comments that were based more on how he felt about the student. He is knowledgable, but hard to tolerate.

This professor is better suited toward teaching upper-level undergrad and masters students. He does not teach 100-level classes well. Clearly shows favoritism in the classroom environment. Chastises students who arrive late, but then arrives up to 10 minutes late himself on several occasions. Intellectually very smart, not a good educator.

Incredible professor, incredibly intimidating at first. If you have a chance to take a class with him, he will push you to a new level. Or two, or three. Oh and don't take things personally.

great teacher, sorta scarry, but still a great teacher, very interestring, the 3 hour lectures went by very fast!

Not sure if Ron still co-teaches this class, but I had him for a few others too. My biggest admiration for this guy is that he takes his teaching seriously. He really pushes you to another level. That is if you're willing to be pushed. Thanks Ron!!
