He was not helpful and if you have a speech that day, you have to hope he is in a good mood and he likes what you are talking about because your grade depends on it. No clear grading rubrics, if he does not like you, you will know it. His lectures have nothing to do with the tests. He doesn't even take the time to learn your name in a 20 kid class.

May seem over-caffeinated, but teaches with a lot of passion. Tangents into politics, but strives to keep his views ambiguous (with varying degrees of effectiveness). Students who interject with poorly researched political views are ripped apart. Fair grader.

Grapsy is an awesome professor! He is really down to earth and very approachable. His tests are completely from the reading and have little to do with the lectures and can be challenging. But he curves to the extreme so there's nothing to worry about.

I LOVED this man's class. He was always helpful and available when I stopped by his office for help. His lectures were interesting and interactive. TAKE HIS CLASS. Oh, and the others are right. His tests are from the book, but he does curve.

Very picky about every detail on speeches- YOU MUST KISS UP TO HIM- insulted me on a personal level and when i confronted him about it he just acted like it was fine or never happened. lecture is useless- hated every class except for actual speech days cause he wouldnt talk- and i went to EVERY class. he is a horrible prof- DO NOT TAKE HIM!!!!!!!!!

He's a good knowledgable professor, really knows how to communicate but he talks so much. He makes you not wanna ask a question because he'll over explain and talk your ear off for 10 mins. Fair grader, 5 tests based on the book but he drops the lowest one

HE CANT STAND STILL! always moving his hands and changing his tone of voice from a whisper to a yell..class lecture have nothing to do with anything, tests come from "the book" and the comments he gives do not help you improve anything..I would not recommend him, he is simply annoying!

DO NOT TAKE GRAPSY. He he does not make any sense when he gives directions, he is sarcastic and rude. its almost impossible to completely please him, and he takes off points just for the sake of taking off points. He's a decent guy outside of class because hes a deadhead. and whoever said he was hot... ewwwwww.

is a nice guy in general. not very helpful, doesn't answer emails. Is very confusing. read the book, lectures won't help much. And keep an eye on the syllabus so you don't freak out when it's monday and you get stuck having to do a speech on friday.

The tests are mostly common sense, not bad at all. His comments are pointless and even if you fix something your grade doesn't always improve...he will always find something wrong with what you're saying. I think he lets his personal opinions get in the way of the persuasive speeches. He kinda talks in circles and doesn't make much sense.

DO NOT TAKE HIM! He seems really nice in the beginning of the semester and eases everyone through the add/drop period, and then he completely changes his attitude. His comments on the speeches did not help me at all to write a speech that would please him. He takes off needless points, and his test questions do not make sense.

This is the most horrible teacher I have ever had. He doesn't know what he's talking about. He speaks unnecessarily loudly, waves his hands around, and says a lot of words but makes no sense. YOU WILL LEARN NOTHING. i dreaded this class everyday. Tests are easy, but 7 speeches required and he gives no help or guidance. his comments are useless.

Unhelpful, abstract, and generally unwilling to help students. Even when speaking to him outside of class, he talks in circles and contradicts what he says in previous classes. He seems nice at first, but as the semester progresses his attitude deteriorates. Attendance is given credit despite not being university policy.

He's funny. He's a tough grader, but in the end he gives you a good overall grade. I didn't like him, I felt I would have learned more with a better teacher who graded more fairly. His tests were easy and there was also a lot of work to do in his class. I didn't look forward to his class.

really great professor! 4 speeches and a group speech at the end of the semester. tests come from the book and notes. he makes you feel comfortable and relaxed in front of the class. i recommend him!
