Comment:

Dr. Inks is easily my favorite professor. I was initially intimidated by the sales call role-play final, but in 10 short weeks I not only got comfortable with professional selling, but I plan to compete in the fall & pursue it as a career upon graduating in December. He's helpful & gives feedback w/out being condescending & I enjoyed his course.

Terrible professor. Was not clear on what he wanted for his assignments, and even less clear on how they pertained to the class. Spent most of the semester talking about sales when the class is about social media marketing. Does not provide any amount of useful feedback on your assignments. Do NOT take his class.

Do not take Inks for MKG 375, I promise you will regret it. He only talks about sales and this class is supposed to focus on social media. He assigns so many pointless assignments that do not relate to SM and does not clarify how to do them. If you email him asking for help, he will not respond and then proceed to give you a bad grade! RUN!

Dr. Inks is awesome. Best professor that I've had. Clear with his material and gets to the point. He's pretty funny too. If you put the effort in and communicate with him, the class is easy. Take him for sure.

This is one of the worst professors I've had at BSU. He offers zero, to no helpful feedback. He is not clear with directions, doesn't clarify on his syllabus, and will not reply back to an email till email 4 or 5. Literally, if you can avoid having him, do. This guy must be on tenure because he doesn't seem to care about his students at all.

Comment:

Best professor at Ball State. He is big about the HH Gregg Sales center and if you are in his class, go to the sales career fair he is in charge of and let him see you there. Automatic A+ in the class because he knows you are interested in the sales course. After he saw me there the rest of the semester was cake. He does everything he can for you.

Professor is very easy to work with, but the class was set up very confusing. There were no set exams or quizzes just "recall exercises" which were averaged to come up with a percentage of your grade. The final sales call is the most important part of the grade, but Inks makes sure that you have the material and information to be successful

Lots of outside-of-class and group work in the class. Big portion of the grade was determined by another professor. Class went at a slow pace until the end when things were really rushed and some material was skipped. Wouldn't choose him again.
