I am not a fan of Dr. Drew's. She only taught the lectures, so her choice of GA could be the issue, but there was a serious lack of professionalism in the class, and grades were put in last minute, changing my A to a C+ because of an error, which was never fixed. I would not trust her with anything in my academic career again. Nothing learned.

Dr. Drew is an easy professor to have. I took the theroires class with her, and this is a lecture heavy class. The lectures can be very boring; but there are a decent amout of outside work like discussion posts, online quizzes, and book review.

One day a week there is lecture which you just have to show up and pay little attention to so you can answer the lecture response question at the end of class. The other class periods you are split into smaller groups in which you will give your speeches. This class is nothing to stress over, plenty of time is given to prepare.

I only actually had Dr. Drew for one day of this MWF course, her segment was a common sense style lecture portion. The rest of the class is taught by some of her TA's in a lab portion. Your class experience really depends on if you get a good TA or not. I had Mrs. Spears and was not at all impressed with her. Buy the workbook, but not the textbook.

Shes just an okay professor, most of the work is done by the graduate teachers. I did dread this class, but overall it wasnt so bad. I thought the test could have been a little easier, but everything else was straight forward and simple. Just show up to class and do your speeches and you will do just fine.

Very clear lectures, always open for any questions, goes at a steady easy pace and always wait until everyone is ready to move on with the next slide. Definitely recommend her!

interesting lady, good lectures but i don't think they relate to the test. don't rely on your lecture notes to pass the exams- you wont. besides test prep, the class was a breeze and the speeches were not dificult

I dreaded having to take this class, but it wasn't that bad after all. She lectures one day of the week and the other two days you are supervised by a g.a. You are only required to give 4 or 5 speeches the entire semester. The book was only used for looking up material to study for the tests. Go to class, give your speeh, and you will be good to go

Just go to class. you can BS your way through to get in A. jost go and try and participate somewhat and you'll be fine. You dont really need the books but if you want to, i guess you could. I wish i didnt buy mine because we used it like once or twice.

Should've been a politics class. Every lecture she found some way to push liberal ideals on us and to put conservatives down. I don't know about everyone else but when I go to a class I would like to learn the subject without the professor giving their bias opinions about politics. Other than that the class was pud.

Shirley is AMAZING! Take any and all of her classes because she is the most helpful professor you will have at Pitt. She really cares about her students and the Communication field. She is also a great cook!

Theories is a boring class anyway, but she makes it interesting and fun. If you want to take a class from Dr. Drew i would recommend her Small Group class. All of her classes are pretty easy. She doesn't like to give tests (which is a plus)

Dr. Drew is one of my favorite teachers at Pitt State. She is very intelligent and holds your attention the entire lecture. She seems a bit unorganized and behind a lot on grading, but overall I really like her.
