I took his class a couple of years ago, so my review might not accurately reflect his performance. He was a nice and personable guy, but he came across as a bit arrogant at times. I've heard that his grading was too harsh, but he just expects you to be able to compose a college-level essay. Some people want an A for third-grade material at best.

He's a great professor! He tell stories to the class that pertain to the story and chapters that we have read. His stories keep up awake during those morning classes! He's a hard A but he'll let you turn in a rough draft before the final draft is due and he'll edit and grade your rough draft. I think all professors should be like prof Murabito!!!!!

Classtime involves interesting conversation about the reading done both inside and outside of class. Good teacher who just wants to help you improve your skills! Gives you a chance to turn in rough draft for him to grade B4 final copy. Just follow the rules of writing, show up to class, and bring your textbooks. Not the best writer? Get help!

All these people need to listen to what they are saying. Of course the class is hard and thats how you get to be a better writer. I've learned more in this mans class in one semester than i have in all 4 years of high school. I managed to get a high b in his class and english is not even my strong point in school. I highly recomend this teacher.

Impossible to get an A. Even if you go to the writing center you will not get above a B. He is boring, arrogant, and condecending. All he talks about is the one girlfriend he had, food, and the two books he had published. I do not recommend taking his class. Not worth taking.

Because he has had a couple of books published, this arrogant man believes that if your writing is not in his style, it's bad writing. As others mentioned, he does not give As and expects you to put forth every ounce of effort to his class while he does nothing of the sort. He can't even be bothered to shower. Avoid if you like your GPA.

He's very tough in grading. He's condescendant. He's unappreciative. His attendance policy is ridiculous. His voice is nasally and he reads monotonously. The class is boring and recycled. Seems as if he thinks he's the Godhead of writing short stories and poetry. Don't take him.

I had him for College Comp I. He talked about himself and his daughters and his tenure nonstop, but made it clear he didn't care about much that his studens had to say at all. He grades impossibly and is just a total pain in the a$$. Engish is my strongest subject, I was always at the top of my class, and he gave me a C! Avoid him at all costs.

It is nearly impossible to receive an A. He wrote on one of my papers, "You improved" yet my grade did not even go up one point. He is a nice man, but if you are not an English major, perhaps you should take a different professor. Also, you are "permitted" one absence. You must ask him prior to missing class.

If u dont want an A then take him. he believes everyone "can be a better writer" so he never gives A's. The whole class was wasted by his stupid impressions and he always looks dirty. he'll split readings between the class for homework, but expects u to read both readings..point to spliting them then??? lol he was kinda fun but i learned nothing

Here's the deal with him, if you miss more than one class you're done and that's only if he likes the reason you missed. He's arrogant and will only like you if you suck up or write exactly the way he does. He drones on about his life during class and gets offended if you put any work in his class second to work in another. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

I did not even get to attend one class. I told him I'd be in the Dominincan Republic for missionary work and that i could provide documentation. He proceeded to tell me that I would not be excused from class and that my trip should be inferior to my studies. I was traveling to the DR to teach kids English, learn Spanish and help build houses.

I had Professor Murabito for College Composition One. Although it is seemingly impossible to get an 'A', I highly suggest this professor. He is very helpful, and a lot of fun in class. There are no test/midterm/final - all your grade is based off of your papers.

This man lied to me about what kind of fiction I could write before I even applied to UPG. He was an okay professor, but seemed more interested in himself than his students. I didn't learn anything from him and don't know how he got tenure.

Very very funny! Tells stories all the time. Grades pretty tough. Don't expect an A. You write one journal (1 or 2 paragraphs) and one essay (2.5-3 pages) per chapter in his book, which isn't bad at all. They aren't topics where you hafta analyze the story that you read, you can write just about anything. I wouldtake him again if I could.

Great prof Always an interesting story to keep you awake in those early classes Lots of reading but most is enjoyable Papers are graded hard but if you can/want to write is worth the effort Not an easy A but everything you learn is worthwhile to your life If you put forth the effort you can get an A but this class is not for whiners or idiots

i don't think that he gave too much work, just actually expected effort. journals were a pain in the ass, and there was always a reading assignment. if you're a thoguhtful person and not jsut an empty shell with no self expression then you'll do just fine. he is exactly what a professor should be. intelligent and passionate about what he does. going through his classes whinning will only make it harder, trust me.
