The only complaint I have is that is super unclear as to what information is important or what will be on the test. However, other than that the class is super easy as long as you pay attention. And if you do well on the clicker quizzes you get automatic extra credit.

His lectures are quite dull. Most of the time he speaks about invertebrates. It is unclear what exactly will be on the exams. His study guide is only the iclicker questions we used without the correct answer, or any answer at all. He offers extra credit but is vague on his deadlines. He does not fact check things he talks about in class.

Dr. S is a fantastic professor. I was already excited for this class (yes hello I'm a biology nerd) but it was way more fun than I anticipated. Lot's of focus on invertebrates but in a fun and interesting way, as well as advice on how to work with "Cool, charismatic, big animals". Really fun lectures and funny stories.

He's a really funny guy but his lectures are very off topic and most of the time have nothing to do with what we're learning. It was a very easy class to get an A in, because the only things you're graded on are daily clicker quizzes (which you get two tries on) and midterm and final. So easy

He is a really good professor who makes you want to listen and learn. He makes a lot of good analogies between the materials you're learning, and the real world so to help you better understand.

Dr. Shuster is very knowledgeable and you will definitely learn a bit about isopods and stomatopods. Easily approachable. His lectures are mostly powerpoint though he does enjoy telling the occasional story in class. If you show up to class and pay attention you''ll get an A. You can do each quiz twice and his 2 exams are based on the quizes.

Dr. Shuster is a great prof. He is very passionate about his research with isopods and a keen animal behaviorist. His class is both engaging and knowledgeable. If you need help he is more than happy to help you when you approach him. His material is not difficult if you are paying attention and taking notes... Students should look up to this man.

I was expecting the class to cover a range of animals, however, a lot of it is about arthropods. Either way he keeps the class interesting and the daily quizzes are helpful in learning the material because he gets exam questions straight from them and you can take them twice.

Shuster is a really good professor if you can handle all of the talk about arthropods, his all time favorite topic. I was expecting more of the class to be about other animals. Daily quizzes can either help you or hurt you so you definitely need to show up to class every day. He's a really interesting and funny guy but he can sometimes ramble.

Mr. Shuster does talk on what he's passionate about (which happens to be anthropods) but since its animal behavior and that's was he did his dissertation on its understandable. If you take the time to pay attention he is funny!. Just take notes! ~95% of test is based on lecture/quizzes. Great teacher and interesting! Just don't sit in the back!

Comment:
Animal behavior with Dr. Shuster is horrible as he just rambles about the arthropods he studies and makes you memorize his friend's names and their contribution to animal behavior even if they arent relevant to the material. Expects you to read the book, while his lectures are wildly different. Tests almost exclusively from the daily quizzes.

Good professor and fun class if it is something you'd like to pursue. Systematics are confusing, but its just because everything is always changing. This class is about mass memorization and classification. Well known researcher and will be more than happy to help if you can catch time with him. If you are willing to try guaranteed you won't fail

Comment:
Dr. Shuster is not a very good professor. He is funny, and he seems to know his stuff. However, he simply reads his powerpoint lectures from the internet which you can download. Also, he fails to add anything to his powerpoints in lecture so why bother attending? He says you are responsible for things that never end up on tests. He sucks.
