Comment:
Extremely boring, lectures every class without any visual aids. Isn't bad at first then it gets extremely hard to pay attention by end of semester.. Lectures are frequently off topic and the test topics are straight from lectures.. Not from book.. Many test answers are his opinion not necessarily the right answer.

Terrible professor, gives very boring lectures and does not speak loud enough. He is not helpful and does not make himself available to meet with students. His tests are incredibly confusing, have multiple correct answers, and don't cover the material he claims we need to know. He gives his class confusing assignments that are poorly explained.

Dr. Baumgartner's class was very boring, but it's so easy. If you've had even the most basic of statistics classes you'll do fine. You don't have to come, but some of his test questions are very detailed from class lectures. All tests and quizzes are open notes/open book.

Dr. Baumgartner is a great professor. I took him in a graduate school class and he was more than fair and always willing to help. If you show up to class and take initiative the work will pay off. I didn't know much about academic research but his class really broadened that perspective for academic research for my graduate program.

Easy A. 3 tests (worth 30 points each): 1st test was mainly over syllabus and 3rd test is the "final".

Don't think for one second that just because it has open book tests that it is a joke. Those tests are by far the hardest open book tests of all time. If you have a hard time finding stuff quickly out of a book, you are screwed in this class. Better get all his words copied or nots are useless too. Probably made a B and had to fight for it.

He is a very boring teacher. Easy class. You can probably skip all the classes and still make an A in the class. Everything he talks about seems like it would be common sense and really makes it a waste of time to even go to class. He talks a lot and goes off topic all the time. Book material is barely covered and not worth reading thoroughly.

He seemed very out of his element teaching such a large class, maybe he does better in a smaller setting. His test questions were very subjective, but again he didn't seem that comfortable with the material. Maybe he was just thrown the class.

This class may seem like it is eassy because all of the tests are open book, but this is the hardest open book test you will ever take. An 85 is considered an A, but don't let that fool you. You will still have a hard time in this class. This was one of 2 B's that I made in all of my Major Classes.

Baumgartner's class was so easy, but extremely boring. If you can stand being bored to pieces, it's an easy A.
