Definitely a class you do not want to skip, textbook is questionably required. I would recommend it for better understanding, but if you really pay attention during lecture you can get it. TAKE NOTES! Professor gives clear understanding of material and anyone can ask questions to better understand.

As a forensic psychology major, I found this class to be fascinating and Dr. Kucharaki made it even better with his stories. You have one paper that isn't that hard if you put aside to find the right articles and one exam which he gives you a study guide for. As long as you study and go back over your notes you will get an A.

he's a pretty good professor. I can't speak for everyone else's comment but I don't think it was that bad of a class. he is sorta funny in a dark way. he teaches the 2nd half of the class. there is one exam and a paper. the paper was a bit hard and the exam wasn't that bad. i would recommend him but this was his last semester.

This was one of the hardest classes I've ever taken. Dr. Kucharski covered the second half of the class and honestly I thought the material was interesting. His lectures made what could have been painful material pretty enjoyable. However, Dr. Kucharski was a bit hard to follow at times. Also the exams in this class were very difficult.

Kucharski is a mediocre professor at best. He is rude when emailing and says he doesnt need emails from a number of concerned students at the same time. Paper wasnt bad but the final was difficult and barely gave a review. Dysart is a WAY better professor but she is only there until october then kucharski comes in. STUDY everything for the final.

This is one of the most boring yet necessary classes. It was the first semester they introduced midterm because people complained they didn't have enough stuff to base the grade on - that was a mistake. Horrible midterm, a lot of people did poorly. Kucharski's lectures felt like an obligation, the exam seemed easy but did not produce a good grade.

Comment:
This class is split between guest lecturers for the first half, then lectures by Dr. Kucharski. Regarding the latter: Dr. Kucharski is a very intelligent and interesting man. Unless he's telling one of his stories, however, this class will put you to sleep. He lectures from powerpoints that contain only legal jargon. Only grades are paper and exam.

Comment:
A little disorganized, and quizzes/slides often have spelling and grammatically issues. Only one exam and one paper for his half of the class. Don't rely on the review he gives, study EVERYTHING. Gives lots of real examples, but has a tendency to go off on tangents. Overall its a good professor and good class.

kind of tough, very unorganized i feel, very intelligent professor who gives great examples based on his experience working as a forensic psychologist, lectures are kind up unorganized, paper for the class is very vague. great sense of humor. only one exam (final)

He is a hilarious guy , but the final has the capability of destroying your grade if not curved.

Kucharksi is awesome, these other reviews are not him anymore at all! We only had the midterm and it was generously curved (I got an 84 A-) one paper that wasn't bad. He's funny as hell and shares relevant cases for the topics at hand. Kucharski rules. Take him!

Class is split into 2 different professors. His half was a bit confusing because he would provide the slides of the lecture almost a week after he taught it. Midterm doesn't contain majority of what he says to review & grammar is off which makes it a bit hard to understand. He's a funny guy but I wouldn't take him again. Clicker Q's & attendance!

Dr. Kucharski is the professor for the first half of Psych and Law. He is a cool professor, funny and entertaining! He does make the class enjoyable with his relatable stories but his exam is pretty difficult. The questions can be very tricky. Make sure to study EVERYTHING (powerpoint and textbook) for his exam.

Prof Kucharski is very knowledgeable and has a great sense of humor. However, his lectures are not very well organized. He only teaches the first half of the semester and gives one exam and one paper. It takes at least 2 weeks to get your exam/paper back. Most students got low grades on the exam, but he grades on a generous curve.

I'm going to tell you the real deal..He's knowledgeable and funny however he moves way to fast and less than half the material he put on the review for the exam was on the test class average was a 29/45 with that i say it all. Think twice before you take his class he doesn't care!

Extremely intelligent guy. I wish he was more understanding that not many students are comfortable dribbling in the law aspect of psychology and most are not familiar with the judicial system. Class is extremely disorganized, prepare to be confused.

Kucharski knows his stuff. He covered the clinical side while guest speakers (other professors in the college) covered the research aspect. Very effective approach that I hope he continues to use. The only downside is that consequently the final contained much more information to study for (there were about 8 or 9 guest speakers).
