I loved him!!! He's so funny and makes the class generally enjoyable despite how difficult the work may be. He explains things well but sometimes goes through material quickly so ask a lot of questions. 10 take-home quizzes and four tests that he gives partial credit on. If you pay attention and show you up you will do well! Take him, he's awesome

Comment:

Very good professor! Breaks it down for everyone and makes sure that everyone understands it. He helps by coming up with things to help the students remember the content. Homework is not mandatory, but is actually a good idea because it helps with the tests. Definitely take him if you have the chance.

I highly recommend this class with this professor, he is great and you will not regret it! There are many opportunities to ask questions, he generally cares about his students and it shows in his teaching!

Comment:

Professor Moyer was one of my favorite professors so far. He really makes sure you understand the material and thoroughly explains things in class. Class is never dull. He tells so many dad jokes and loves to be sarcastic. He gives weekly take home quizzes that help bump up your grade. Don't be afraid to ask questions in class-- it helps!

Dr. Moyer is awesome!! Geometry is not fun, but he actually made it pretty fun. A lot of repetition in what he teaches, but I like that because it reinforces the material. Does a very good job tying all the information together. Pretty funny, keeps you engaged. It is a good idea not to skip this class bc you will miss alot, weekly takehomequiz

Dr. Moyer is the most down-to-earth professor I have ever had. He tells it like it is even if he is a bit controversial at times. This was one of the most interesting classes I have taken at TU and I actually learned a lot, both the material and from his teaching career. Show up, do the work, pay attention, you'll pass.

Moyer is great! He cares about your success in the class and in general. He makes SUPER corny jokes all the time and it makes the class very entertaining. Exams are mostly multiple choice and they help your grade a lot. TAKE HIM if you can!

The professor was very helpful and enjoyed what he taught. His enthusiasm kept the class alive and engaged. He also gave multiple ways to learn the material. He gave weekly quizzes which helped out our grade and was an easy A. He gives many ways to bring your grade up and always makes sure you understand whats going on.

Not a fantastic teacher, I had to retake calc I at another school since it didn't transfer and i'm doing terrible in the class. He didn't teach me any information I could actually use, and only focused on the technology part of it. If you ever have to take any other math class, do not take him.

He was a nice person. Kind of took a roundabout approach to deriving some things. I really liked some of his derivations though but I had already taken calc in hs so the class was easy regardless. If you've taken calc in hs and were okay you should be fine.

nice guy, not the best teacher. more than one person in my class struggled with his explanations and ways of teaching. likes to use technology alot but it can be confusing. if you go to him for help he can be pretty helpful. not a great teacher but not terrible.

If you HAVE to actually learn the material for your major-do not take him. If you want to goof around and hear stupid jokes-take him. Weekly quizzes are nice plus he drops the 3 lowest grades. Thankfully I had high school calc or I wouldn't understand anything he taught

Mr. Moyer is avery nice and helpful teacher. He does not mind occasional absences just let him know why. He played music during class, loves classic rock. He likes to tell jokes and stories of his family which really makes time fly by. You never use your book and as long as you try your best you will pass the class. He wants his students to succeed
