Comment:

I had her for WAM (Work Attitudes and Motivation). The class was well structured with clear objectives each week. We also knew what would be expected of us from day one, which made doing well in the class much easier. Be prepared to talk since there is a lot of group discussion, but you'll learn a lot from her and your peers.

Comment:

Attendance isn't mandatory but if you miss class you'll probably be lost for a while. Her teaching style is more like guidance to be able find the answers yourself rather than just telling you what the answer is. She can be confusing at times but if you ask her to explain something she probably will. She cares that everyone has a chance to learn.

Her ryhtmic voice or expressed and elongated tones is annoying, kinda like a 20 year old. Admits to not knowing how to teach and she thinks not involving herself is a better way to teach. Will choose a few to give a hard time to just to make her look good to her peers. Will put down students in closed doors. Unfortunately her class was mandatory.

Professor Sessa is great! If you take this class be aware you will have about 9 or 10 quizzes but the questions give to you. She also gives one big project that is done with a group. No midterm. She is very understanding & will clarify if you ask. The reflections are critical though ! She is very precise about them, ask for help when you do them!!

The class wasn't the most interesting, but this professor made it even worse. She's completely unclear in every aspect of the course (assignment criteria, grading procedures, testing, project criteria, class content). She was all over the place. quite boring and every class session left me ore confused that the previous. DO NOT TAKE HER!!!!!

3 exams, alot of group assignments. Final Exam was take home; basically redid everything did all semester w/groups. Book was boring, used only to do vocab words. Lectured ALL class! If you are interested in I/O, HR, etc., TAKE! She is knowledgeable but did not like structure of class. She was thinking of restructuring it, so you might be lucky!

Don't take this class. It's a headache. Take social or health psych. Awesome teacher, but this class is all about business and extremely boring, not clear, the projects are boring too and the tests are so confusing. Just don't take this class. It sucks.

I took her for my psyc of work: personnel psyc class. The class is difficult to begin with since it's really for HR majors but required for Psyc majors. Has an odd grading system. Doesn't know how to explain the material clearly. I learned very little. She writes the lectures like a day before the class. It is straight lecture. Don't recommend.

Gave me a B at 87.5%.. She is unbelievably unclear on how she wants her papers written. She doesn't know what she teaches a good majority of the time so she cleverly just facilitates every class. Her grading seems to be entirely how much she likes you. I would never recommend her as a professor.

Her tests are easy, its the same questions every time so shes not trying to trick you, just make sure you read the book. She is big on group leadership that is why she wants students to engage in working together. I think she was an awesome professor.I would take her again!

Rah!Rah! She's more suited for running corporate team building exercises than teaching Psych, especially experimental. One class she handed out 10 packs of post-its and by the middle of class they were all over one wall. then we had to go thru them all and remove duplicate ideas. need i say more? I only learned bc I read the text from a dif prof.

Not only is Prof.Sessa VERY boring, she also doesn't teach. You must read the text book word for word. She tests on minor details also. This was one of the most boring classes I ever took. I thought I wasn't doing too great, but did mange to pass with a B+. She's not horrible but she's definitely not great.

One of the worst professors ive had so far at MSU. Dont get me wrong, shes a nice lady, but her perkiness and bubbly personality, combined with her astonishing inability to teach, makes her class nearly unbearable. She taught NOTHING. each class was a big useless talk and waited till the last week to mention our papers were to be 20+ pages
