Comment:
I took this class 4 years ago, and unless things have changed drastically, here is a fairly accurate review. The class is mostly composed of making edits on pre-made java programs and very little knowledge is needed to do this. The tests are a joke. I left with hardly any knowledge of java. I took this class again elsewhere and learned so much more

clear and concise, strict but I think that is what is needed when teaching programming, there is very little room for error when in an actual programming job.

Professors a real laugh, doesn't know the differance between an IDE and a compiler. He's also extremely strick and gives no or little room for freedom. I am very disapointed with the class which was not well organized nor taught. =( I seriously thought the class would be helpful but it turned out sad. And I felt he was imcompetent know-it-all. Grr.

Best programming instructor I have ever had. Easy going, and does a lot of hands on stuff in class.

He knows what he is doing but I found it hard to hear him at times and hard to keep up with him. He is super tough in the beginning but once you get past the midterm he softens up a bit. However, his homework assignments are very condescending and he takes off points for the smallest of typos.

Great teacher, his instructions are clear and concise, if you can pay attention and follow along he is easy to work with. He is more than willing to help if you have a question. If you have ever struggled to comprehend basic programming concepts, he is probably not the teacher for you, unlike some Metro teachers he does not slow class down for you.

This teacher has a radically different teaching style then any other teacher. Instead of writing code on the board, explaining it and taking questions, you type into your computer what he types, line by line. He goes way too fast and you are scrambling to keep up with him while he spurts a brief comment Hard to learn. Condescending + insulting

He is an excellent teacher. He grades tough but you exactly what he expects so do your work right. His lecture style is quite laid back and easy to understand. He is always willing to help.
