Comment:

I took him for college algebra and precal. He is the best professor I have ever had. He understands his students and wants us to succeed. He is extremely clear in his expectations and what he tests on. Homework is extra credit on exams. He is always available after class and during office hours.

Comment:

He is an amazing teacher! He does his own quizzes and tests in class which are easy and the online quizzes and homework can be done easily. Even during corona 2020 (lol) he was very helpful and accommodated to it. 12/10 would recommend. I suck at math but he helped me actually understand it.

Comment:

Great teacher. He answers every question and will go over the material. All homework is online and is added to extra credit towards the tests. Test are in class and as long as you do the homework you should do well on the tests.

He is an amazing and understanding teacher. He explains everything and will go over the material again if you do not understand. He is very straightforward but otherwise every helpful. Office hours are open and I highly recommend his class. His tests/quizzes are pretty easy in class except the quiz online is harder. Def recommend.

Nice professor, very helpful and makes the info clear but wish I knew the only grade he takes for the class are tests. im not very good at taking math tests so I failed. But if you are then take him.

Comment:

Corona is a great professor! He takes the time to explain clearly the material and he likes when students ask questions and engage. Grade is based only on 3 to 4 test + final. Homework are for extra-credit and they really helps you improve your exam grade. Take notes, do homework, ask question and you will be fine!

Comment:

Math is NOT a subject Im good at. He takes the time to explain everything and is easily accessible during office hours if youre having trouble. Hes personable and has a lot of motivating life experiences hes shared as well. Dont skip lectures unless necessary or youll fall behind-I did and it was hard to pull myself back up for a bit.

Mr. Coronas cal2 summer class was very difficult. His lectures focus on theory instead of examples. He gives homework/examples over concepts he has not taught yet. There are no test reviews but study problems from the book. The online homework is very difficult and I had tutors who couldn't solve them either, but they are just for extra credit.

He's a solid professor who will take the time needed for you to understand a concept. His lectures are good but he will tend to cover one question for almost 30 minutes. Beware of his online quizzes as they can range up to 70 questions!! Homework only counts for extra credit for the exams.

Comment:

Corona is a really great professor! he takes the time to help you with whatever you need, but you have to let him know you're confused, you can't expect him to read your. He doesn't make you feel bad for not knowing something and he will make sure you understand the material even if he has to teach it a little differently. Don't miss his class.

Comment:

As someone who has a reputation of being bad at math, I was not expecting to do well in his class. However, I ended up doing pretty well and I believe it is because Prof Corona is fair, organized, funny, and above all an excellent teacher. He cares about his students and I wish I took more of my math courses with him.

Ive taken this professor for different maths, I find his calculus 2 class is not worth taking. It did not prepare me for physics 2. He focuses the class on explaining the theories. also you cannot use the formulas in the textbook or what you have learned in precal or calc 1 unless you are prepared to prove them. tests answers have to be in sentence

Did calculus in the summer , I wont recommend it. However I suggest to take this class in the fall or spring. Hes a good professor but the lectures were just everywhere.

Comment:

If you want a professor who truly cares and wants you to pass I recommend this one! Homework is optional and if you do it, its considered extra credit that goes toward any exam you take. There are only 3 exams and one final, lets you use note cards for all the test and the final. Will sit down and help until you understand the material.

He gets way to caught up with class affirmation over the material. He will go over one or two problems over the course of the hour and 45 min class period. homework is 10 percent of your final grade which is not fair because of how much there is. he also side tracks and it's hard to focus. do not recommend at all.

Needs to consider teaching by projector (often times his body unintentionally covers up what hes writing - which makes it easy to lose momentum). Gets too caught up in class affirmation of his actions. Perhaps let people absorb the difficult information youre handing them and let them process the questions they may have.

preface by saying I made an A in alg and precal (I worked for it) but this guy makes a hard class harder! He gives no handouts or hw yet he preaches every class that perfect practice makes perfect! The hw that is available is online and written by someone with a complete diff method of teaching. Couldnt ask qs bc didnt know what to ask (no hw!)

I have never considered myself a person who is good at math or can understand it and Mr. Corona changed that for me! Calculus is a hard subject but I never felt hopeless like I did in even my algebra classes. Homework is optional and online, but helps a whole lot if you do it. He is a theory guy and will make you see outside the box. Take him!!!!
