Comment:
This was an Art History sequl and foccused on modern art history from 1948 to the present. It was an excellent experience because of the discussions and the class particopation Peer did his best to foster discussion, but did a poor job in textbook selection. I would never sshow up to class with out doing some previous research on the discussion topics through Wiki. Substantial projects, 4 section tests (mainly slide identification and essay) easy if you put in 2 hrs of study. 7/10 difficulty.

Peer is an enjoyable man to be around. He has fascinating points to make about color. However, he's a very "safe" artist. In my experience, he does not appreciate risks on his assignments, which is contradictory to an artist. In fact, he tends to punish those who take risks, academically speaking.

Charles Peer is an excellent professor. His Art History course is one of my all-time favorite college courses. His classes are well-taught without giving too much 'busywork.' Also, he is very friendly and helpful to students and has a good sense of humor.

Color studies was pretty interesting....some of the projects had nothing to do with color though, and the first and last projects SUCKED and left me with a bad impression of the class. I was kind of disappointed with this class. :(

Half of the projects had nothing to do with color. I did not get everything I wanted out of this class. You also are required to buy a $70 package of individually silk screened pieces of colored paper; you will use only about 1/10 of it.
