Great instructor. She will give you all resources to receive an "A" in her class. Come to class, pay attention, and do all the assignments. You are almost guaranteed an A. I hate history period, but after a few weeks in this course, it became the one class I actually looked forward to attending.

The class was extremely easy. There were other activities where you can earn points. However, I don't recommend her if you really want to learn History. This teacher is only for those students who take history because it's a pre-requisite. She sometimes does not explain some topics very well and she's not really sure of her answers when you ask her

Amazing teacher. She's very passionate about this subject and presents all of the information clearly. Always willing to help out her students and she gives tons of extra credit. All her lectures are on powerpoints that are available whenever you want.

Comment:

Has got to be the best history teacher at KCC. She keeps the class interested and knows how to teach the material well. Class is SO NOT hard. Her lectures are definitely informative and essential to passing. She is very organized and always prepared. Gives back exams the class after you take it unlike some professors who take 2 weeks to return them

Very good teacher! She is a fun spaz! She keeps your attention and is very clear on the subject matter. She grades fairly and knows what she talks about. Maybe don't take this class if you are afraid of work-it is writing intensive! (but not too bad)

she made pacific island history interesting...one of the best professors at KCC by far. very energetic, knows her subject area extremely well, grades fairly, and for a writing-intensive class she doesn't overdo it. highly recommended!

Hawaiian History 284 WI was great this semester because this instructor knows her stuff. I had fun and she is the type of instructor who makes the lecture fun. Keep in mind that her hand outs are helpful but go to her lecture. Take her classes.

easy A. not much homework. Focuses on the main points of history (that's what you get tested on). And if you go to class and take notes you don't have to study much for the exam! You do learn from her, she just goes about it in a different way compared to other instructors.

Professor Higgins is an excellent teacher. She's very helpful and is really dedicated and knowledgeable on this subject. Her study guides narrow things down for the tests. This class isn't an easy A, but you learn a lot and everything's straight forward.
